Looks like that way as both Top Rank and Sauerland are in serious negotiations...

...also interesting that Oener wants to stage a big show on HBO for Vitali vs. Gomez with Gamboa being showcased in his 1st world championship fight.

    Great news, Tom!

That would be a great HBO WCB card. Gamboa is super-exciting every time and Gomez could be much more competitive than most think...

BTW, how did u score the Holyfield-Boreuev fight?

Look for my article on Boxing Confidential...I had it 115-114 with a draw being the best decision IMO...

Concerning Pavlik and Abraham, they are both big power punches,we've seen Pavlik take some big punches and been wobbled but never KO'd has Arthur had the same tests to his chin?

Miranda hit him so hard he broke his jaw... still didn't wobble...

Pavlik was hurt in several fights and was down more than once. I've never seen Abraham hurt, his chin is made of stone (and platina lol).

Thx Tom. I had it MUCH wider, 118-112 for the old man...

Abraham withstand Howard Eastman's best shots just after Eastman had his mandatory shot at B-Hop in 2005...Abraham also got his jaw broken and took some good shots from Edison Miranda in their initial match up.

Abraham's chin is head and shoulders over Pavlik's as is his defence...

Yes but Pavlik took the same blows from Miranda and KO'd him Arthur had his mouth open when he got his jaw broke so that could happen to anyone.Anyway Mirande can't really be used as a yardstick 'cos they both kicked his ass

Who was that, never heard anyone saying that Pavlik is scared - no boxer is scared of another, b/c than they wouldn't be in this business...there are no Tyson's anymore...

This should be great fight, and HBO does seem adament about putting only the best fight, but hopefully its not PPV. Side Note, Arthur Abraham, reminds of the middleweight version of Rocky Marcino.

I've been predicting Pavlik KO8 Abraham for two years. However, after watching the Marquez fight, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly end it a bit sooner.

It's a tough bout to call but Abraham's bursts must take there toll on Pavliks chin
