Yes we did and Pavlik was tired late in the fight, Taylor was even more tired Pavlik could've finished him off there but didn't for a reason. He hurt Pavlik but couldn't follow up because he was tired.
I dont know much about abraham, but I like pavlick............like his jab, his one-two. but the thing about kelly is that he has spent the vast majority of his career winning early by KO....................now that he is a top level fighter those days are over and if he wants to keep his belt he better know that when he is in the gym
There are a few unknown factors in this fight that make it hard to predict: - Will Abrahams guard be effective against Pavlik's punches? I have rarely seen a more tight guard than Abraham's. If Abraham can block Pavlik's jab effectively, it could be his key to victory. If Pavlik can land his jab, his workrate alone could decide the fight in his favor. - How much does Pavlik's advantage in height and reach matter? Will Abraham be able to actually land effectively? BTW, he DOES throw a lot of excellent straight punches as well as deadly uppercuts. Wild shots only come in when his opponent is hurt. - Who will be mentally tougher? Both fighter's have been amazing at imposing their will onto opponents. It may be the first fight for both against an opponent who is equally strong mentally. I still favor Pavlik slightly, but nothing would surprise me in this fight.
Think back to when Pavlik beat Miranda. All these ridiculous threads popped up like Pavlik vs haglar, Pavlik vs Hearns, et. Now we have a slightly less ridiculous version of the same thing. AA starched a very limited fringe contender, and all of a sudden he's going to KO Pavlik.atsch Abraham's habit of going to the ropes or a corner is a VERY dangerous thing to do against Pavlik. Between that and his inactivity his chances against Pavlik are not very good. Pavlik will take advantage of Abraham's two worst habits very effectively. Can Arthur fight hard every second of every round against a guy with accuracy and power in both hands? No! By the middle rounds Pavlik will break through a spent Abraham's defence and stop him.
Abraham would beat Pavlik, with that I have no doubt at all. In fact I think he would stop him possibly behind on the cards. He feasts on boxers that approach the fight the way Kelly does.
How in the **** do you know "he feasts on boxers like Pavlik?" Abraham has never fought anyone who even remotely resembles Pavlik.
:blood I think you should seriously re-think this opinion of you. I think his stamina sucks. Everytime he has to go 12 rounds he's exhausted.. That's why he's so passive during fights according to me, to save his energy:hey Peace
Wrong, he's too passive because he saves energy. He was far too active against Eastman and hardly looked tired.
Slightly less ridiculous Yeah the guy with the cast iron chin and one punch KO power starching a fighter who can be hurt is just as dumb as Pavlik KOing Hagler...:nut The limited fringe contender is Pavliks second best win
