There is an assumption here that may or may not be true. We won't know what division Pavlik intends to fight in until they ask the sanctioning bodies to rank him. It's my understanding that during the time period when he was trying to make a decision about a Martinez rematch he had to work pretty hard to stay under 180. Pavlik at 168 is far from certain.

People seem to think if he moves to 168 he will be a 'small' SMW too. Abraham might have the weight for SMW but he will never be any taller or add reach. That won't be nearly as much of an issue with Pavlik. If he goes to LHW? That is another issue....:think

As long as he doubles the ****ing thing.

Now that we've the seen the man behind the curtain and Andrade is no longer perceived as invincible, you have to think that a very hard puncher who does eat come-forward types alive such as Pavlik would have some success.

Of course, if Andrade can outlast him...

Your boy JSimps very recently said KP has not made a decision, and that several factors are under consideration.

My pick would be Tavoris Cloud. I've never picked Pavlik over Bute, but Cloud is custom made. An undefeated world titlist with a 90% KO ratio who would make Kelly look like Godzilla.

But decides to fight the winner of Cloud-Johnson. He wouldn't be making anywhere as much money then if he was fighting Bute.

True, but careers should not be viewed one fight at a time. A Pavlik/Bute fight would be a big pay day for both, but the most likely outcome would be KP taking another loss, Bute getting zero credit, and both guys standing around holding their dicks until the super six is over.

Pavlik could easily spend the next 12 months getting ready for the "after Super6".

A fight against Andrade and then one of the Super Dropouts could be excellent for his career. He could rebuild his confidence and acclimate to the new weight class. Then next fall he can either fight the winner of the Super 6 or Bute.

If he moves up to 175lbs to fight the winner of Cloud-Johnson.... then what? Is he gonna fight Dawson? Then why not fight Bute? If he fights neither of them then what's the point of all this? He may as well retire now.

Both are kinda sloppy, Andrade very sloppy. But Kelly would beat his ass, he is the better boxer, punches sharper. HELL OF A FIGHT, I would love to see this.

    Pavlik hits harder than Bute

Bute knocks people out because they don't see his shots coming
Plus he has a really good gameplan

But power vs power, I think Kelly hits harder IMO

Pavlik but it would be a tougher fight then some suggest. Kessler has a better, more powerful jab then Kelly and was just about able to keep Andrade at the right distance for the whole fight.

If Kelly drops that right hand often enough though it could be a KO win

Pavlik needs to show me something before I'm ready to pick him to beat a game fighter like Andrade.

TBH I'm quite surprised by the poll results here. :huh

At 168, I'm going to have to see something to convince me of that. I'd have to see him in against a Stieglitz type being impressive as a hitter. Until then I'll go with the super middleweight champion who's also in the 80% range with his ratio.
