Is that just a stat you're reading in b&w or did you see it? If you saw it, did you think he was hurt?
I dunno if Bute beats Andrade yet...but I will say if anyone has the ability to do it it would be Lucian. Should be a tremendous scrap.
Miranda brought NOTHING to that fight. He can generate ZERO power off the back foot, and looked lethargic and passive from ROUND ONE. Taking those "no, leave me alone" shots that Miranda threw proves nothing. :good
Let me clear something up, when I say "bias", I mean who I like as a fighter, not who I choose in picking fights. Who I would cheer for. I do not have biases when analyzing and picking fights.
Miranda never sat down on a single punch in that fight. He winged some desperation shots with little leverage that maybe would have cracked a CHINA chin, but I never said Kelly had a china chin. It's just far from iron (like Librado's).
Andrade is underrated, he's called nothing but a human punching bag and that's an attempt to bring down what Kessler did to him, which goes back to how everyone intially was highly impressed by Kessler, then losing to Calzaghe. It goes back to anti-Calzaghe bias. These guys can't stand that Joe's that good because for the longest time they figured he was some joke from the UK. So they bring down another phenominal modern fighter in Kessler who hadn't even dropped but 5 rounds in his whole career leading up to Calzaghe, B to B+ level, such is really unheard of outside of the top, top elite bracket and even rare there. Cotto's a top elite, look how he had **** up's against B levels, Kessler had none, he beautifully picked apart all of them. Pavlik wouldn't land on Andrade at the rate Kessler did, so even if he does hit harder, he won't be landing as flush and as frequent, he can't fight backing up and has no real advantages because he's more a pressure fighter himself than a BOXER. Andrade would drive him back and starch him, i'm completely sure of it. As sure as I was that Casamayor could KO Katsidis.
SMW is weak? Please, look at MW and LHW. SMW is a stacked division full of good fighters, take Floyd out of Welterweight and it's right on par with that division.
I'd take Stieglitz over a few top MW's, including Wright, if the fights were at 168. And I'm not and have never been high on Stieglitz.
to be honest, i think the same thing that happend to miranda against pavlik would happen to pavlik against andrade. being pushed back and not being effective
