Pavlik vs Andrade

Pavlik's skills are more polished than Andrade. Pavlik also gets hit less and has defeated better fighters.

This is kind of sadistic, especially since at another level I want good things to happen for Librado careerwise and financially, but in a way he needs to stop improving right now. As long as he's the "iron-jawed, limited brawler", big names will keep stepping up to fight him. But imagine with that chin how dangerous he could be if any other atribute, punch output, accuracy, or power, became truly "world class".

As he stands, he's already a nasty out for Bute. Pavlik, Taylor, Bika, Green, all great fights, win or lose.

 

Andrade is dangerus to anybody, Kessler could'nt rest for a second in their bout, in my world no one will beat Andrade but Kessler ( not even Calzaghe! )

Nah, Calzaghe would dance circles around Librado right now. Can't see that being competitive in the least.

 

Pavlik would stop Andrade.

Calzaghe would stop him also. Kessler put the hurts on Andrade, but I like to watch Andrade fight.

Andrade is just a bigger version of Margarito. I'm surprised that Amsterdam actually likes him when he detests Margo so much. I guess he must be a real big Kessler/Calzaghe fan.

 

I disagree. While not spectacular, Andrade clearly does more, and has more in his arsenal, than Margo.

 

I'll pick Andrade on this. Andrade has proven he can take punishments and throw his own bombs. Pavlik? We still need to see, if he can.

 

Wouldn't hold my breath. Another thread with Pavlik against SMW before he has a chance to make his first MW defense. Yeah, pretty much a given he will move up some day, but geez....

Do any of you really believe Pavlik will be the same fighter after making the move? His walk around weight and muscle mass will go up. He struggles to keep weight down now. Look at the comments Joe C just made about how he feels moving up. The 'catch weight' fight meant little since he still couldn't let his walk around weight go up since he planned on going back down to middle.

 

If you use success as any sort of measure, you might see it is more tortise and hare.....

 

If he beats Bute then he'll have done something and earned my respect. With that said I just don't see it happening.

 

I agree with this Margo is nothing but a windmill with a chin Andrade has much more to offer.
