It wasn't the step up in weight that was trouble for Abraham. It was the step up in class. Once he couldn't defend his paper title against c level fighters on his own terms at home in Germany by "winning" rounds for 30 seconds of work at the end he was done. I don't see anything that he can change to turn this around.
Abraham KO3.:yep This is one of those fights I would LOVE to see. even it isnt that important anymore. But sstill.
It is important. Abraham has 3 losses and Pavlik has 2, it's not a death sentence to have 2 or 3 losses.
Maybe if you weren't so dumb you wouldn't say a stupid thing like this you fanboy. :rofl:roflatsch Pavlik also lost every time he stepped up in class and he also defended his title against C level fighters. Unless you consider Lopez as an A level warrior. :tired At least AA never lost to a light-middleweight  You are so dumb Hermit sometimes I wonder if you're playing a role. :tired
Bute could fight the loser ofthe fight especially if he comes from Brutal KO loss. hehehe, just kidding
You fail to grasp the concept of styles make fights and a better fighter overall. I think Pavlik is the better fighter but stylistic he matchesup poorly vs Abraham. Pavlik is there to be hit with very little movement and a very leaky defense and he can be hurt badly. It does not matter if hes 3x as active or winning rounds, at some point in those 12 rounds hes going to be hit by something huge and it will be over. Both are not elite level fighters, Pavlik is a good fighter but not good enough.
No, I just think you are wrong about whose style will get the job done. Kelly has always used his height well and this was one of the main problems Abraham had when he moved up. He couldn't lay on the ropes and make people come to him and punch until he got an opening. I'm 99% sure this match up will never happen though. If Kelly can make MW safely he is a player again and will stay there. Abraham has already given up on trying to make 160 again and we know he can't compete at the top levels of 168. We simply don't know if a motivated Pavlik can or not.
So suddenly Pavlik becomes a long distance fighter with great lateral movement? He also stopped standing right infront of someone at middle range? Do you even understand styles? You just look at physical dimensions and think the fighter will fight accordingly, by that logic Paul Williams should be a ATG by now.
Enough to predict EXACTLY what would happen to Abraham when he stepped it up. My posts are here if you want to check them out. History backs me on this one. Enough to know Kelly out boxed Jermain Taylor in their second fight and Jermain was still showing good speed at that point. Not the shot to **** version AA ko'd. Enough to know that Kelly is disciplined enough that he would know that AA needs you to make a mistake defensively because he doesn't create them offensively.
