Yes, I think Abraham is a tremendous puncher maybe the best in boxing of course Wladimir hits harder but for his size Abrahams power is nothing short of breath taking.

Pavlik does not have the one punch power Abraham has, but I would still rate him as one of the best one punch punchers in boxing. Plus Pavlik really knows how to dish out the punshiment the way Pavlik can dish out punishment is totally unique.

There was some speculation aftewards, and I don't remember the source, that Taylor hitting his head on the canvas may have done the bulk of the damage that night. Hard to see in that gif though. I can find several references to his head bouncing off the canvas but there is no way to tell how much damage was from the punch and how much was from the fall any how.

It was a good punch, but when I saw it land on Taylor I was totally shocked at his reaction.

I think Abraham is for sure one of the hardest punchers in boxing, but I just thought that particular knock out was not that devestating of punch he can land punches loads harder I think.

Your right that the head bouncing could have been part of it. Personally I think Pavlik and Froch ruined his punch resistance some.

Hard to say. Taylor had to ask if he had been knocked out after the Pavlik fight. He was in the middle of the ring asking for a rematch against Froch.

Yeah I think Pavlik did more damage likely then Froch. The Abraham fight was not that tough of fight it was just a one punch knock out and Taylor has had to take tons of time off to recover.

I think Pavlik and Froch had done some sort of damage that Abraham's punch was able to damage more, but I don't know how the brain works.

I actually used to enjoy watching both Pavlik and Abraham quite a bit but i think both succumbed to their vices.
Incase of Pavlik his alcohol abuse, incase of Abraham living the good life.

Think it was just after Miranda2 they showcased his life living in a huge house and driving a new Ferrari....
Previously Abraham even when hurt would come out aggressive you could see it in the Miranda1 fight even with that horribly broken jaw he was still highly aggressive.

Now he is more like Cotto he just does not respond well to punishment its actually quite sad to see, he just relies on that high guard and hopes that his power does the job.

I hope both revive their careers where i think Pavlik as long as he stays sober and listens to Garcia (not be some primma donna) has more of a up side.
Abraham made a ton of money in Germany and i just think he lost that fire.

Daruf you're telling it like it IS man ! :hat I don't believe AA will ever get that fire back either. I'm even surprised he isn't retired yet.

Appreciate the kind words, and yeah me too actually i expected the retirement speech after losing to Ward.
Kudos to Abraham though after others pulling out like pussys for staying till the very end... the man has heart.

In a sense i think being poor might light some fire again but on the other hand so many boxers go broke ... i hope he made plenty of money and put it away wisely. (big house and fancy car kinda worry me)

He seems to manage his money wisely and well, except for his 2 ferraris he doesn't seem to blow his money fast so I don't think he will have too many problems. (let's hope at least)
