If Bute wins his rematch with Andrade and after Pavlik fights his next bum on PPV...do you guys think this would be a good next step??

It would also put the winner in place to fight the tournament winner in a huge money spinning fight!!!

Is this a good plan and how would you see it going???

At the moment, I think Pavlik would lose a decision as long as Bute gets his head in the game. Bute is a fairly tricky fighter and a southpaw, and Pavlik didn't seem to be able to handle movement side-to-side and in-and-out very well - he prefers fighters to stay in front, in range or come forward. He could storm Bute, though, and KO him if he puts on his crazy hat. Difficult one to call.

One thing's for sure: Pavlik needs to get his act together if he wants to beat anyone.

Bute dominates Pavlik. Hopkins already laid the blue print out there, be tricky, move around, throw combos, move the head, and have solid defense. Bute can do all those things and he would be able to win a wide UD.

Pavlik would never dare getting close to a big technical supermiddleweight like Bute after what happened to him when he fought 10 pounds over middleweight

Pavlik should take on an easier pray if he wants to move-up weight!

    Bute by late TKO

A pre BHop Pavlik was untouchable at 160,but at 168 im not so sure,a very gunshy Taylor went the distance in the second fight (fought at 166) and had plenty of success.A post BHop Pavlik at 168 is another animal entirely,i'd pick Bute to pick Pavlik off bit by bit,and Kellys corner rescueing him in the championship rounds.

Is this a different Bute to the one that went 12 rounds with Tatevosyan?

A LHW with a serious punch dominated Pavlik over 12 rounds and couldn't stop a faded and jaded KP, so what makes you think Bute could?

Very good scrap. Bute is no Hopkins. Pavlik's reach might bother him.
Honestly, not sure who i would pick.
