Pavlik vs. Calzaghe preliminary talks for November.

Damn you said it there. It is kind of a scary fight in that if Pav doesn't blow him out in like 5, he gonna get rained on with criticizm, when we don't know **** about the dude he's fighting.

Real hard for me to talk any kind of **** to get excited when I know nothing about the opponent.

 

To add perspective, Junior Witter and his fans didn't know **** about Bradley either.:!:

 

And seriously, one sided matches aren't good for boxing. MMA on prime time TV might actually be very good. It LOOKS more bruatal than boxing because of the blood. The jury is still out on long term health issues though with MMA. Less head hunting, but when you have two guys on their feet it is easier to tell when one has had enough. He falls over. MMA some guys get pounded WAY too much on the ground before the ref jumps in.

 

If Pavlik fights tall and will control distance with his jab he will win this fight. Joe is gonna have a hard time getting inside and opening up with his flurries because that bomb of a right hand will be waiting for him. God Damn I want to see this fight happen.

 

I do not want to see this fight, two different weight divisions, but if it were to happen, Calzaghe will win.

Good post, this is how I like to see it playing too. Pavlik fights REALLY tall. JT is only 1 1/2" shorter than Pavlik, but in the ring Pavlik looked 3-4 inches taller than JT.:yep

ye took me a bit to notice the pipe wrenched posts after his avatar changed im used to just looking at the avatar before reading the post.

 

I think most people truly do that too. You get used to seeing a certain avatar for a long time next to someones post, you just know who it is without thinking about it.
