Agreed, but let me say now they will never sign for this fight these are the guys who wanted to fight Clinton Woods for FFS, but he lost can it be any more obvious.

I have no doubt the fight will be in Wales. And for once I agree with TFFP. Calzaghe deserves the fight to be wherever he wants as he holds titles in 2 weight classes and has been champ for many years. Plus, Pavlik would be moving up in weight to take Calzaghe's belts from him. I am glad the fight will be in Wales, because I want no excuses from Calzaghe fans when Pavlik knocks him out. As far as the stupid criticism that Calzaghe fans make about how American fighters don't leave America to fight, but they honor Calzaghe's guts and bravery for driving a whole 2 hours from Cardiff to Manchester or London. Give me a break. Anyways, the whole point that all you Calzaghe lovers are missing is that AMERICA is the MECCA of boxing, not Cardiff or Manchester. Therefore, American fighters should stay in America to make a name for themselves. Many European fighters, I believe understand this, e.g., Ricky Hatton, and venture across the Atlantic to fight here. The UK and Europe are the MECCA of Soccer and Cricket. If Americans want to become well known in these sports, I suggest they fly across the Pond to become recognized. If anyone doubts this, I was in the UK 2 weeks ago and their entire sports page is soccer with a little bit of cricket and rugby. Not a mention about boxing. I did see a front page sports section with Calzaghe wearing a uniform for his soccer team (Cardiff) that played for some kind of championship against Portsmith. They lost, just as he will lose to Pavlik.

There are two factors that no one has mentioned, but they ARE important.

    1) Who will the ref be? This fight has Smoger's name on it, PERIOD!

    2) How big will the ring be? Smaller ring favors Pavlik. Larger ring favors Joe.

I, for one, would like to have the answers to those questions.

Would be nice if the fighters could get together and AGREE on these things. I know ref and judges are supposed to be independent, but would it be so bad to give both guys a list and ask who is acceptable and see if you can find common ground?

u are such a little *******..you are getting alittle defensive, seems to me that if you were realy sure about slappy you would not sink to the low level of now cutting pavlik down ...calm down..the fight will be in vegas or some where in the united states..sorry but if your that confident in your fighter does it realy matter? and yes if it would be in wales which it wont i am confident of kelly ...

I dunno who to pull for if this goes down. I am a huge fan of both of these guys and would have to wait for the pre-fight antics to make a decision. But anyone who thinks Pavlik blows out Joe C is dilusional. Joe can and will adjust to any fighter's style.

I aint holding my breath for this one ..Once I know the Jones fight is completly dead I will not pay this any attention ..Not to mention I prefer a Jones /Calzaghe fight in Wales any day over Pavlik Calzaghe fight at this point ..

I am a fan of both fighters. In my opinion unless Calzaghe just ages between now and November Calzaghe outboxes him . If all of a sudden his reflexes drop and he becomes slow of foot Pavlik can win. Joe is just to fast and experienced for Pavlik.
