    So why is Joe ascared?

*I actually think Pavlik should fight the winner of Abraham and Miranda, but Abraham might actually get his ass beat, and while a rematch with Miranda is intriguing, I'd rather see him fight Calzaghe, even though the odds will be against him.

Pavlik probably ought to get a fight or two under his belt before he takes on Calzaghe, but if he's ready, he's ready.

Joe is the one that talked all the ****, but Lockett must have been like, "Man, don't get in the ring with that mother f-er!"

    Anyway............WHY IS JOE SO SCARED?

**** no's, because he'd slap Pavlik around the ring for the full 12 on his way to a comfortable UD.

So why did he turn down 10 mil to fight Roy for 5 mil?

Why did he talk **** and call out Pavlik only to act ascared?

    What's up with him?

Anybody can talk, but talk ain't ****.

Why doesn't Pavlik just fight Abraham? Joe can fight Jones and then the winners can clash early next year?

    What if Abraham doesn't win?

You wanna see Pavlik vs Miranda again? No doubt it will be a good fight, but I'm tired of seeing Pavlik fight the same guys over and over again.

    Time for something new.

    A. I 100% agree with you in that Pavlik is the better fight to take on, tho if he takes on RJJ and then Pavlik then that is fine. If he just fights RJJ and doesn't fight Pavlik, i feel it isn't great for boxing as another potential great match-up has failed to materialise.

    B. There is no way Calzaghe is scared and you're just being abit of a plonker. Whether he fights Pavlik or not imo (altho sounding contradictary to A) will not have much of an impact of his standing in history. Tho boxing needs match-ups like these, match-ups fans would want to see.

Well that isn't quite true, you talk, and most of it is ****.

Show me this credible source that says Pavlik offered 10 million. I don't want to see some **** in The Mirror too :patsch

    It's a completely absurd figure.

Let me ask you this, if you talk **** to a kid at your school and he comes knocking on your door, what you gonna do?

    A: Get your ass beat.

B: Fight and maybe get your ass beat.

Much keeps getting made about this 10 million that was offered Calzaghe. Is there any substantial proof that such an offer was actually made. There is has been plenty of links posted lately to an English website called the Mirror which makes a vague inference of such, but offers no proof.

Yet so many people on this site have jumped on it like it's a fact. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but can someone post something a little more substantial. If not, stop mentioning it unless real proof is offered.

I wouldn't talk in the first place, but thats besides the point. All we hear is how much Pavlik wants this fight, how much Calzaghe is ducking, yet I've not seen anything from a credible source to back this up. It seems to be complete speculation that Pavlik made an offer, let alone 10 million

Give me some cold hard evidence.

THIS WAS POSTED FROM ANOTHER THREAD.

Joe is a victim of his own mouth. Just follow the time line.

Sept 29, 2007: Pavlik destroys Taylor while Joe looks on via sattelite. After the fight HBO interviews Calzaghe, and Calzaghe calls Pavlik out.

Nov 3, 2007: JC beats Kessler, and continues to call out Pavlik.

Before any other fights are made, and before JT says he'll excersize his rematch clause, Joe runs down to the nursing home, and picks a fight with BHop.

All through the winter and early spring, up until Arum announces the Lockett fight, JC continues to Call Pavlik out.

April 19, 2008: Calzaghe wins a split decision over BHop, proclaims himself a legend killer, and says he wants Roy Jones. He doesn't mention Pavlik.

Just prior to the Lockett fight an interviewer asks Pavlik who he wants to fight next. With no hesitation whatsoever Pavlik says "Calzaghe." In the mean time Top Rank offers Joe 10 million pounds to fight Pavlik.

June 7, 2008: Pavlik destroys Joe's stablemate, but Joe wasn't there. In the post fight press conference a reporter ask Pavlik who he wants next. Without hesitation Kelly says "Calzaghe. It's up to Arum and Duncan. If they tell me to fight Godzilla, I'll fight Godzilla."

On or about June 12-13 2008 Calzaghe tells the South Wales Argus: "A lot of people would love to see it. However, at this point, I think it's unlikely. I'm not sure if Pavlik really wants to face me at the moment."

You can interpret that any way you like, but I call it ducking, plain and simple. If it were Kelly who had been running off at the mouth, it would be different, but Joe spent at least 7 months calling Pavlik out, and all of a sudden when Kelly says yes, Joe wants to fight a has been in RJJ!
