Why do you guys look forward to Hopkins vs Calzaghe which has a real good chance of being a boring dirty ugly fight while not looking forward to Pavlik vs Duddy which given the slugging styles of both fighters is bound too be a action packed war:huh

There's no such thing as a boring fight if one of the guys is throwing 1000+ punches per fight and willing to trade blows even if he is ahead on the cards. Hopkins could turn this out ugly but Calzaghe's punchstat will still create excitement is he throws 'only' 750 this time...

Pavlik-Duddy? good entertaining mismatch. KO3 for Pavlik, brutal KO. If you are there for the blood, it's your fight. And there's MMA. If you like BOXING, it's Hopkins-Calzaghe too. Historical fight between p4p #2 and #3.

Pavlik will make short work of Duddy. Hopkins vs Calzaghe is a fight against two modern day greats both coming of good wins and for me its a very hard fight to call. Seeing the pair of them together in Dec Hopkins looks like naturally a much bigger man than Joe.

I don't think Duddy even touches Pavlik to be honest, how can a guy who doesn't fight 12 rounders be considered seriously as a threat to a top 10 P4P fighter?

:nono Hey nowadays there more wrestling around in a Hopkins fight then in a MMA fight:D Also Slappy Joe with 1000 punches a round can be shut down by a rough fighter check out Joe's fight with Sakio Bika both ugly and boring it was:tired Hey!!!! Duddy is a good fighter top of line among middles, true he is no defensive wizard but he is fast has a good punch and a great chin:deal I like seeing real fighters fight like Duddy then sissy boy defence first fighters like Mayweather:tong

I'm exited for the Pavlik Duudy fight!! But I want to see the Clzaghe fight because it means a heck of a lot more IMO. Pavlik vs. Duddy= a good middleweight title fight between 2 good punchers that will definetly entertain. Calzaghe vs. Hopkins = Light Heavy title fight between 2 ATG fighters who dislike eachother. Calzaghe needs this win for self fulfilment and in his eyes to solidify his legacy. This will be a good fight no doubt. Also, Hopkins won't go out like a punk like people are saying, this will be very competative.

How do you see that happening? Pavlik aint a world beater but he hits like a mule and is pretty brutal. Duddy looked like a extra from Taggart.

Duddy's best wins are over guys that wouldn't make 4 rounds with Pavlik. John is not improving, and will always come up short against "B+" and "A" level fighters. However, he is an exciting fighter to watch, and Pavlik/Duddy would be a FAT payday for everyone involved. It would be a smart business move for John to cash in now, before some youngster on the way up, or some tomato can having a good night, exposes him for the "C+" fighter that he is. Don't take me wrong. I like Duddy, but he is never going to be a world class fighter.
