Boo - Duddy actually improved alot against Eastman and won more convincingly than the final score suggested.I think he is now at least a b-level fighter.Saying that i don't give any middleweight much chance against Pavlik other than Taylor and AA and i still think he beats both of them.
Duddy has tons of heart and a good chin so i think he can last 7 or 8 rnds with Pavlik.

Zertuche is getting back in the game. He is scheduled to fight Rubio on February 9th. Zuniga has not lost since he lost to Pavlik. Either of these guys is a better fight for John than Kelly. Measuring him against at least one decent fighter in his prime before we throw him to the lions would be a good idea. However, either of these guys is a potential loss for Duddy, and that would probably ruin the opportunity for a really big pay day in a Pavlik fight.

Someone from Duddy's camp quoted on the main page a couple of weeks ago that they were not going to jepordise the big payday. They said Duddys win over Eastman showed he deserved a shot at Pavlik. They also added that it was Arum who approached them with the offer and they had never called out Pavlik.
I suppose the offer was to good to turn down

In a way I do think Duddy should grab the big pay day while he has the chance. Pavlik/Duddy with Zuniga/Abraham on the undercard would be a nice event. Then give the winner of Zuniga/Abraham a shot at Kelly. As you know, I am a huge Pavlik fan, and this scenario would make Pavlik look like GODZILLA in the end, and hey, I like that!

That would put the fight about one year from now. I think andy is closer to 2 years from being ready to fight at the world class level. I will not be surprised if Pavlik and Lee never meet at 160. But, hey, 3 years from now we could be looking at a fully devloped Andy Lee facing a prime Kelly Pavlik at 168. I say BRING IT ON!!!:bbb

At this point in time Pavlik/Lee would look a hell of a lot like Duran/Moore, and just like Roberto ****ing ruined Davey Moore, Pavlik would destroy Lee's hopes of ever becoming a world class fighter. The worst possible choice at 160 for Lee would be Kelly Pavlik. Lee has not fought a single opponent that matters. Pavlik KNOCKED OUT EVERYBODY THAT MATTERS, with the possible exception of Abraham, but Arthur and his stupid hat will get their turn this summer or fall.

Duddy is an entertaining club fighter who does not have the defense, or the depth of experience, to avoid getting Pavlikated inside 4 or 5 rounds. By what stretch of your wild irish imagination do you arrive at any other conclusion? Instead of making these unqualified blanket statements like the above, why don't you give us an actual analysis?

That's your "analysis?" Your boy got tagged repeatedly by right hands from Eastman. Getting tagged like that by Pavlik means one thing: KNOCKED THE **** OUT!

Ardy has to be joking, right? Nobody could possibly believe that Duddy would survive more than a couple of rounds with Pavlik. Duddy's defense is C+ at best. And I say this as a fan. He's a talented guy with a lot of class and heart, but you have to be realistic. He does not have the tools to compete with Pavlik. He will be hospitalized.

I was going to comment but all has been said already: Calzaghe vs. Hopkins = competitive fight. Pavlik destroys brave Irishman in 4 brutal rounds. I like Duddy but he is outgunned in a big way against the Ghost.

Duddy had trouble against the ancient Yuri Boy Campas. A good fighter who has been soundly beaten by the elite guys he faced. Pavlik dismantled the dangerous Panthera - Edison Miranda with shocking ease. I see little if any chance for Duddy against Pavlik.
