Pavlik vs Duddy later this year!!!!!

Pavlik vs Duddy was rumored for 2008 already, so I guess it may happen for real after Pavlik deals with Sturm.

Sad story is that Abraham apears to be doomed, after what he did to Miranda, nobody wants to fight him. He should try to get ahead of Pavlik and offer Duddy a shot at his title, that way Pavlik may run out of options and be forced to fight Abraham.

Finito, you just lost all your credibility in our endless Pavlik/Abraham debates. Making that comment provides incontrovertable proof that you don't know a Goddamn thing about Pavlik. In 9 rounds with Zuniga, 8 rounds with Zertuche, 7 rounds with Miranda, and 19 rounds with Taylor, the kid spent one half of one round on the back foot, and you think Duddy is gonna back him up???????????

 

In terms of moving things forward it was Pavlik's loss to BHop that screwed things up. The January '09 date with HBO was pretty solid before that. I mean it's understandable. If either guy was my fighter I would not put him in with the other following a loss. Nevertheless, it's Pav's loss that put the fight on hold.

This is a good fight for Pavlik if it really takes place, and especially since i personally don't view Duddy as a threat to Kelly in any way. Hes a wide open banger with no defense and average skill. A strong, big middleweight puncher with good skills such as Kelly should walk straight through him. I would have favored Vernon Phillips over Duddy if that fight would have taken place as well.

Alot of guys on here give Duddy no credit for what he does possess and thats a big heart and great chin. He deserves a shot at KP especially after what his crooked management put him through this last year

You cannot call a fighter with a good amateur background, who has defeated the likes of Howard Eastman and Yori Boy Campas, is unbeaten, and has a granite chin awful!! Yes Duddy is facing a huge task and an uphill battle, thatdoesn't make him awful! Duddy has got decent power and a huge heart and will provide a stiffer test than people imagine!
