how could this be great news, this is ****ing horrible news

its irrelevant and shows that Pavlik is avoiding AA

this was one of the fights I mentioned in possible worse fights to happen in 2009

    along with Judah/Pacman, and Froch/Calzaghe

how can a true Pavlik fan be happy about this fight?

I'm a fan of Pavlik and if he fought Duddy next I'd be disappointed. Abraham or Winky-Williams winner are the two fights he should absolutely be in next, in that order. I'd be let down but ok with him facing Sturm or even a handful of jr middles like Forrest, Angulo, or maybe even Kirkland next. In no way should John Duddy be his next defense after Lockett and Rubio.

its baffling to think that people would be pissed at pavlik-duddy, as these same people were licking pbfs balls when he fought gatti, baldomer and judah (coming off a loss). Duddy is undefeated and on the horizon and pavlik has every right to fight him.

i thought rubio was a tune up for a possible arthur fight? the fight that has to be made at 160lbs. pavlik's team probably see money in pavlik-duddy, as john has a following (i think) in the tri state area. i like duddy too, the kind of blue collar nice guy thats hard to hate.

I for one am disappointed. It would be an all out war, but it's meaningless. Although this would do really well on HBO at MSG.

I think a lot of people criticized Mayweather for that stretch of fights, Mayweather has rightfully recieved a lot of criticism for his later career opponents. But even the trio of Gatti, Baldomir, and Judah would look like Murderer's Row compared to the trio of Lockett, Rubio, and Duddy. Duddy may be undefeated but he is nothing special and neither has his competition been.

Because people who know boxing know how much of a mismatch this is, and its interferring with real fights and preventing guys like AA who earned a shot at lineage.

Duddy was a combination away from being KO'd by a nobody last March, and hasnt done **** to deserve a shot at the middleweight title.
