If this **** happens before Pavlik/Abraham and/or before Pav takes care of the winner of the Williams/Winky fight, there's a problem. It would further my belief that Pavlik might need to take a look at signing with someone other than Top Rank. I said that when they announced the Hopkins fight, and a Duddy fight would only serve to strengthen my opinion.

Moreover, I think Arum may want to watch his ****. As I've watched KP these last few years I've seen a fighter who will fight anybody that gets put in front of him. He does not seem like the type who will settle for fighting a bunch of C+ voluntaries and meaningless mandatories.

I have not heard or read anything about Pavlik himself mentioning Duddy since the Smichet fight. Kelly has been calling for the winner of Winky/Williams, Arthur Abraham, and Felix Sturm. He probably doesn't even know about this Duddy ****.

Furthermore, if Duddy's handlers are willing to make this fight, John needs a new team. I've got a 4 month old kitten, and a 17 pound abisinian tom cat. I would never even dream of throwing the kitten into a locked room with my tom cat!

I don't agree with your logic there... Pavlik beat the linear champ, he is the MW king until someone beats him at MW... you can't really argue that. That would be like saying (prior to sat) that Berto is an undefeated champion at WW , Margarito isn't (or even you can say Mosley) ... Margarito (or mosley) should be getting a shot at Berto

 

Arthur won a vacant title that Jermain Taylor vacated. Pavlik knocked Taylor the **** out, and than scored a clear UD over him.
