Pavlik vs Duddy later this year!!!!!

Good -- It's easy to get overly emotional. As boxing fans we tend to be very passionate about the sport we love. I've been on here long enough now that I can be calling a guy a dumb ass on a thread where he's telling me to **** off, and at the same time we're supporting each other to the hilt on some other thread. Happens frequently.

I'm a Pavlik fan and I'm sure as hell not. It is just going to be the Lockett fight all over again.

 

When PBF fought Gatti and Judah, there were fans and writers who gave them a chance. They weren't no-hopers. Baldomar was tough, too. Duddy, Lockett and Rubio are no-hopers. Pavlik would have to just not train for these guys to win.

 

I'm not "excited" about a feeding a nice kid like John Duddy to the proverbial wolves, but I might have to take back everything I said about the Bob Father in my first post on this thread. On a certain level Pavlik/Duddy at MSG could be ****ing brilliant. (Unless you're John duddy, of course.)

Consider this. Duddy has a huge Irish following in New york. Giovanni Lorenzo is a New York based fighter who would bring the Puerto Rican fans. He's fighting Dionisio Miranda in an IBF title eliminator in February, and I expect him to beat "the other miranda."

Arum has always said he wanted Abraham on a Pavlik card before they fight each other. I bet he tries to set up Pavlik/Duddy and Abraham/Lorenzo for June at MSG. HBO would buy it and the combination of Duddy, Lorenzo, and Pavlik would definitely sell out the Garden. It's big money, and Pavlik and Abraham both come away looking like freaking monsters! Brilliant!

 

If that happens, then it'll be okay. But after this undercard, the AA vs Pav fight better happen. If KP fights 2 bums and doesn't fight AA, I'll be pissed. We wont get this fight til the last couple months of 09 if not early 2010

I've been following the KP/AA story since September of 2007. The scenario I laid out above absolutely makes sense in light of the entire history of the thing. BUT, we all know that boxing rarely makes sense!

That was the most ridiculous thing I ever saw in my life. I've been a boxing fan for long enough to remember Clay/Liston I, and I do not recall a single fight where a world title challenger took 3 ****ing knees in 3 roundsatsch

 

Some of his fans I like, some of his fans I dont. I dont like the fans the overhyped him. I dont like any fans that overhype a fighter.

 

LoL. Yeah, that was pitiful. Only thing that was worse was seeing all the Pavlik fans praising him and callin him an ATG after that performance. That fight was sad.

 

That **** happens after every title fight pretty much. It's like this: I was hacking on TFFP one time about "the calzombies," and he said; "they're a new breed. they're not real calzaghe fans. They're just morons."

Seems like every top fighter has fans, hardcore fans, nut huggers, and absolute morons who follow him.
