Yep. Froch is stronger so wouldn't be pushed back. If Pavlik doesn't step back, he has to trade with a guy who has a better chin and more power. If he boxes on the backfoot, he gives up his strengths.
I like Froch in this one. I can't see Pavlik beating any of the super six (swap green for bute) at 168.
Pavlik injured his hand early in that fight, they thought it might be broken for a while, and he still used to to almost take Taylor out with a body shot in the 11th.....
Pavlik by KO. Froch has a good chin, but he will eventually get broken down by those long right hands of Pavlik.
Better chin? Count the number of wide open shots Taylor landed on Pavlik to put him down for two seconds. It took one to put Froch down for 8....
I kinda agree here. Neither are guys i am big fans of in the ring. Got no problem with them outside or in terms of attitude, i just see both of them losing against many top fighters. But, Froch at 168 should be strong enough to land harder shots, to push Pavlik back, making him neglect his power going forward, should be able to take Pavliks shots at 168. I think Froch would land more, harder and win the fight by KO. Edit: What i meant was, in a p4p sense their chins might be equal. At 168, Frochs would be better.
Again, if Taylor can put Froch down, Pavlik can put him down and keep him down. Kelly does some hard ass work outs. When he goes up to 168 I expect him to put on the weight properly. Taylor wasn't a bigger puncher at 168 than he was at 160.
Pavlik by wide decision or late KO. Booradley hit the nail on the head, which is also why I think Kessler will beat Froch if Kessler has anything left. Froch can't deal with someone who can throw 80 punches a round, has decent defense and a good 1-2.
Geez. Still letting the homeless guy use computers in the library I see. You may want to saunter over to the dictionary while you are posting. :yep Wasn't hurt? :rofl Someone punches you in the face hard enough to knock you down doesn't count as "hurt"? :rofl You kill me.... Keep them coming... :rofl
I know Kessler has had back problems. I wonder if that is catching up to him or if he really just can't deal with guys with some real speed? I guess we will find out soon enough. Kessler really hasn't been in that tough of late so I don't think he should be that ring weary.
Then i could just say: Again, if Taylor can put Pavlik down, Froch can put him down and keep him down.
