i understand what you are saying but to just characterize all three as come forward fighters who bang...while overall is true...misses some big distinctions between the three. especially w/ kelly and carl.

neither kelly nor carl is particularly fast nor hard to hit. additionally, neither moves well laterally (if at all :D) since this is the case, stands to reason you may want to have your hands up and be able to pump a stiff jab so your opponent can't just time a power shot and tee off. carl does none of this. his hands are below is waist most of the time and he has a terrible jab. if you watch the dirrell fight (i know you did) he was literally rocking his left below his waist twice before flicking his jab out. my god if someone w/ a heavy right hand times that its lights out (ie kelly or aa).

so while kelly and carl have some things in common, they also are different in a lot of respects. and those differences are why kelly would win....also

those differences are why edison would have more than a punchers chance. if froch would just keep his hands up and develop and actually use an effective jab this wouldnt even be a contest. but he doesnt. and because he doesnt, a guy who is athletically gifted like miranda is, and who has the power to knock guys through the ropes and to break men's jaws will have a chance against carl. every second that goes by in a froch/miranda fight that carl doesnt take edison out just lessens the odds of edison landing one of his haymakers.

bute will dismantle miranda by doing what froch can't. consequently, this is also why i don't like pav/bute either for kelly right now. but as far as froch/miranda...edison will always have a better than usual punchers chance.

I voted KP by desicion because i feel that he is the better boxer and Froch is so slow and unskilled that KP would be able to out point him but I honestly think if Froch gets KP in trouble he will KO him!!!

i'll be honest w/ you cuz...i like carl. he's fun to listen to and is usually fun to watch (dirrell fight wasnt fun to watch)...

who doesnt like listen to him say things like "i'm going to hit dirrell in his jaw section and render him unconscious" pip pip cheerio  **** gets me every time. i love it.

carl froch is good for boxing.

but if he fights that way against aa, he'll be putting his career at risk. and i'm not saying that just to say it. you walk at aa in a straight line w/ your left hand tightly guarding your lower thigh area....not advised.

I defintely agree with that! I just think KP is more fundamentally sound and would be able to connect more than Froch!! I think Froch has a better chin but will and can be hurt!!!!

Froch wins this one for me, Pavlik's punch resistance at 168+ looks shakey, Hops hurt hmi multiple times, but didn't press for the KO, as it's not his style.

When you have two guys that both like to control center ring and force the other back then it's going to get physical. Froch for me is better suited to 168 and will limit Kelly's output like Hopkins did by making it a tough and physical fight, which for me, Kelly does not seem comfortable with and looks weak in the clinch at 168. I think Froch would tire him out and beat him down the stretch on points while Kelly is covering up and back tracking. Froch can walk through Kelly's shots who as a fighter relies on accumulation which he wont be able to do in this fight.

froch's chin is good, but i wouldnt say better. i've seen pav hurt by taylor after getting hit w/ about a dozen flush shots in a row and shoot right back up. i've seen him take bombs all night from miranda and not wobble, same w/ bhop (although there was some wobble there :D). he also was down early against zuniga but i don't think he was very hurt and that version of zuniga could ko anyone 160-168. the man could bang.

froch took a kd from taylor off one punch and i don't care what anyone says...he may not have been "hurt" but he was stunned. that right hand over the top of the left is the same punch that started the 12 punch barrage against kelly. froch was also noticably wobbled against dirrell right after dirrell was docked a point.

point is both men are tough and strong and both have good beards. i am not ready to give the nod to one person over the other in that dept. if anything kelly's beard has been tested more but w/ kess and aa coming up for froch, he'll have all he wants.

Not really true. Pavlik is an inch taller. If he moves up properly, he won't be the smaller guy.
