Pavlik Vs Kessler @ 168

Kessler is faster and his combo's are crisper.

Also i think Pavlik's power is overated and at super middleweight he wouldnt be able to hurt the fighters as frequently.

Pavlik's best win was over a negative fighter In Taylor, he hardly has big wins on his record either.

 

Calzaghe would beat pav easily, kess-pav would be a bit closer but kess would win. No arguments, thats how its gonna be!!!

 

Pavlik would stop Kessler quite easily .

Taylor was a much better fighter than Kessler, and proved it by facing and succeeding vs better opposition.

Also I saw Kessler get hurt bad by Calzaghes Right hand (his weaker Hand).
I think Pavlik would cut him in half.

BUT I promise you this KESSLER's promoter has seen what his man is at top LEVEL vs Calzaghe ....AFAILURE so dont expect him to fight a live ELITE fighter again.!!!!

 

I'd like to see Pavlik fight at 168 to see how well he carries it, it shouldn't really be a problem to him given the guys height.

I'd love to see this fight too, it would be good for either fighter if they won. It would give Kessler good exposure in the States and Pavlik a proper big name after Taylor.

Tough one to choose, I'll take Kessler because this is his natural weight and he's used to punchers with Pavliks power.

 

Anyone can throw amazing combos against a punching bag.

Alot of people are saying pav is a 1-2 fighter(which kess is)
OK.... What does Pav do better than Kess? Kess has better footwork , speed, accuracy, ring smarts, jab.... It could be close and anything could happen, but i'd back kess 100%:good

 

Pavlik by decision. He has longer arms and his jabs would be destructive. Pavlik would be too agressive for Kessler Imo.

 

He has a 2" reach advantage, and Kessler has much faster hands.

Kessler would take away Pavliks jab with his own better jab that would completly dampen Kellys offence as he cannot throw lead rights.

but you're forgetting Pavliks American, so his wins against Miranda & Taylor are worth a lot more than Kesslers wins over Mundine, Andrade, Beyer & Lucas.

 

Kessler is much the better technician. He has superiour footwork and he hits harder. Coming up to 168 would be a big difference for Pavlik. Pavlik's chin is suspect at best having been hurt by Taylor and Miranda.

Kessler by late stoppage or wide UD.

 

Pavlik would get his arse fried in this fight. Kessler is just simply the superior boxer and would make Pavlik look like a puddle of bin juice.
