be it calzaghe or another fighter the way to keep off fighters like pavlik is a tried and tested formula.

give them angles / feet movement/or a constant consistent jab , to stop the puncher getting set and break up his rythem while letting your own shots go.

with pavliks size and power it is not easy, but it can and will be done in the future against pavlik of that i am sure.

its nearly always the case that very good boxers beat very good punchers at elite level.

but pavlik to his credit unlike so many punchers does not neglect his jab and boxing skills, so he is not an easy match for anyone .

i picked kessler marginally but an overwhelming number of people think kessler will ko him, this is why pavlik is underrated.

I Think Pavliks Movement Will Control This Fight. While Not The Slickess Fighter In The World, I Think He's Just Slick Enough To Beat Kessler.

not sure exactly what you mean.
in all the fights i have seen ,pavlik uses little straight ahead shuffle steps to get in range to set up his punches.

he does have the abilty to change up and try to walk through opponents , but this does not involve any feet or upperbody movement.

    he is a 6.2 middleweight
    no need for exagerated movement.

pavlik while adopting a jab/straight right fight plan , fights in a typical stand up european style.

    No need to shout :)

I disagree - watch the Andrade-fight - much bad can be said of Andrade but he sure made Kessler move and Kessler moved very well. He has the ability to move far enough away for the opponent to miss but not so far that he can't counter.

kessler is as fluid/flowing and technically flawless in his punch delivery as you will find with the stand up style, kessler also has a better step off and counter right than pavlik.

pavlik is a lot better on the inside than kessler.

both of them have a jab, jab, right hand as there bread and butter go to punches, and IMO kessler has the better jab of the 2, much more on it.

movement is movement, neither move there head, and both stand pretty upright, which is to there advantage.

    to use an anology.

frankie fredericks, beautifull flowing runner /gracefull stylish, always finished up way way behind the much faster michael johnson, who ran like a wind up mechanical toy, all herky jerky .

its whether your style is effective and what works well for you.
