Pavlik vs. Lockett

How many fights have you seen of Lockett?

 

Hmmmm well he's been touted on Sky Sports for years and so Ive seen at least half of his televised fights.....he goes out looking for the KO early usually

 

Does he have decent speed, defense?

 

He's a solid fighter....no great speed but he's been with Team Calzaghe for a while now so he'll be faster than before.......His defense is solid and hasn't been stopped but this will be a HUGE step up for him....like I said...his only chance is a KO

 

is this fight made????

 

No officially but verbally it's as good as on.......Lockett can thank Duddy for this shot at the title!

 

i'm just gonna take a wild guess and say pavlik isnt making as much on this fight as he would if he fought winky

 

Yeah true but Pav legally has to defend his titles to mandatories, and also can't be expected to have superfights every 6 months!

 

makes sense. arum has stated that he wants pavlik fighting atleast 3 times a year for some time so he is comfortable at 160. too much time in between fights could compromise his conditioning at such a weight

 

Lockett will fight on the undercard of the Gavin Rees v Andreas Kotelnik fight in 10 days time still undecided who he`ll fight.
He`s a rite moody b`stard so i hope he can back it up for his sakes. Promoted by Warren and at a prime ole age of 31 you would of thought he would be more known around the globe. He just havent been promoted right in my eyes. He aint a bad fighter at all.
This could well be last chance saloon!
