I get kind of a kick out of the Martinez/Hopkins comparisons. Hopkins is a full fledged LHW. At 160 Martinez is a blown up light-middle. Hopkins has an iron chin. Martinez got dumped once and stunned a few times by welterweight Williams. Hops has the physical strength of a LHW. Martinez has the strength of a JMW. BHop is a defensive master. Martinez allowed Paul Williams to score one of the highest connect rates of his career. Hopkins punches like a LHW. Martinez has a 50% KO ratio at 154. Even when he is dog ass tired Hops maintains good defense. Martinez gets tired and backs up in straight lines with his hands down. Hopkins is strong as an ox and a master of strategic clinching. Martinez had trouble in the clinches with welterweight Williams. But ya, other than that, Hopkins and Martinez are exactly alikeatsch
Sergio, has got 2 bad decisions in America, I don't think he will get another one. I like Kelly, I just think this a very bad matchup for him. Sergio, UD.
Sergio Martinez via UD. I just don't think Kelly can deal with a slick boxer-puncher, especially a southpaw.
Its starting to get more and more hilarious when the Pavlik fans talk about how Bhop beat Pavlik cause he's a LHW yet Bhop at no point in the fight muscled or out physicalled Pavlik!!!! What you dumb ass Pavlik fans aren't admitting is that Bhop beat Pavlik cause he was more mobile, a lot quicker and had the faster hands! You can talk about Bhop being a defensive wizard yes, but KP got his ass handed to him by a fighter who had way more boxing skill! Since that moron Booradley keeps running to the stat sheets the you fellow Pavlik fans should check out what kinda numbers Bhop put up against KP! Bhop hasn't put numbers up like that in decades or maybe ever! That's right you damn "ghost riders" Bhop straight out boxed him not out muscled him!!
Pavlik's weak ass 1-2 isn't going to find a home against Sergio. Sorry. Martinez will make Pavlik look as bad as Hop did.
