look at your screename. that is exactly what would happen to kelly pavlik if he stepped foot in the same ring with pascal.

 

Pascal in about 8-9.

Pavlik is the weakest lineal champion since Carlos Baldomir. He's done as an elite level fighter and will never repeat anything like the success he saw, in stopping Taylor.

Shame cause I did like him a lot.

 

I doubt pascal could make 168 these days cause he's l ooking like such a beast at 175 but if Pav ever got in the ring with him he'd get his head knocked off.

 

I wouldnt say he's the weakest linial champ cause he certainly deals with plenty of fighters quite easily and his wins over Miranda and Taylor are quite impressive. But so long as Pascal's sholder heals properly he'd smoke his ass.

I think Pavlik is clearly in another league to Baldomir...come on.

But, why this question when neither man is a super middleweight? We've got a current middle and a current light heavy. Why not ask how Ali Funeka would do against Andre Berto?

 

I would give the edge to Pascal but it wouldn't surprise me if Pavlik won a close decision. Pascal is quicker and more explosive than Pavlik but Kelly has a higher and more consistent workrate that could slow Pascal down late if he lands heavy shots often enough. This is what happened to Pascal in the Froch fight. Either way I don't see a decapitation victory for Pascal as some have predicted.

 

I firmly believe Martinez would shut Pavlik out. If he did, then Pavlik has no resume to speak off, really.

I haven't seen Pascal since Froch, but Kelly beats that version of Pascal.

 

I'd go for Pavlik. Pascal struggled with Froch once Froch got his jab going, Pavlik has a good authoratitive jab. Especially compared to Froch.
