This is a fight they can play later down the road. I think both guys needs to fight other people for a while. I think fans are a bit tired of seeing them go at it.

I personally had Taylor winning, I wouldn't mind seeing this before Jermaine retires, since he is older. I want to see them have a definitive end, the second fight doesn't sit well with me and it must not sit well with Pavlik.

Does anyone doubt that these two will do a rubber match near the future? It just doesn't need to happen right away. I think both guys are tired of each other right now. This is a card that the promoters for boths fighters know they can use later down the road for a good PPV event.

As for you saying JT won the fight, would've pretty much had to give every close round to JT and given him the benefit of the doubt for him to have won and i don't think that's too fair.

How can it be a rubber match when Taylor has lost the 1st 2 fights? :huh

I do not want to see another Pavlik - Taylor fight it is a waste of time. Let's move on.

    Good for you.

5 rounds apiece going into the 11th. Pavlik wins the 11th & 12th.

SHUT UP!!! Taylor lost a close fight!

I would watch it. Would be a great fight again.

But what's the point? 2-0 is about all I need to know.

Technically, it's not a rubber match but the public perception was the JT had a very competitive 2nd fight and i think a 3rd fight would draw a lot of interest. But that's later down the road. People are tired of both right now IMO. When Pavlik has more MW defenses and JT makes some noise at SMW, their names will get even bigger.

Pavlik has already proved to be the busier, steady & stronger guy in there and Taylor has proved he could be the more explosive and accurate guy. Emanuel Steward said it perfect, if Jermain could box steadily the way he does in spurts, he would easily outbox Pavlik; however, Jermain is not that type of fighter and only fights in spurts. Nothing is gonna change and Pavlik will keep getting the decision unless Taylor can prove to throw more punches. Although I had the 2nd fight scored 7 rds to 5 for Taylor (watched the fight 2 times), the judges favored the guy coming forward and pressing the action, regardless if he was landing the more clean effective punches. Besides that its boxing; pavlik is the champion now and Jermain will have to show more in order to steal the belt.

I highly doubt this will happen any time soon. It may be down the road at 168, especially if Taylor can do something at that weight.
