Hey ESBers, Who would give a better fight, a rematch with taylor that could ruin him or this Duddy guy who might be a little hungrier?

The Taylor rematch would be more competitive. Taylor could make some adjustments and try to have more success. But Pavlik has the confidence of knowing he knocked him out and I'm sure he would make adjustments as well. Duddy is a good fighter, but not championship caliber. He's a guy who will fight his heart out and will give the fans value for the dollar. However, he would not beat Pavlik. His style plays right into Pavlik's hands and sooner than later, he would be on the canvass.

I would rather see the Duddy fight in January. Pavlik deserves an easier fight and Taylor could use some time off from boxing and a tune-up fight or two.

Pavlik/Taylor. No strings attached no need to straighten facts.

I'd love to see Pavlik starch Taylor again. Then no one would doubt what many of us already know - Taylor was never that good.

Man, Youngstown Ohio is riding "high" on Pavlik and got to see him throw first pitch at the jake in game 4 of alcs. Youngstown thought Ray Mancini would be there boxing legacy but this Pavlik kid is 1 tough dude. I would love Taylor to exercise his rematch clause so he really could get an ass whippin then Pavlik could rest a lil while before demanding the millions he will have coming from Vegas.. Get off the boardwalk and go to Park Place Nevada.

I think Pavlik should go after Taylor again. He knows himself he is better and should prove it for all the world again.

  9. Pavlik- Taylor rematch would be a better fight, i like Duddy but he's not ready for Pavlik yet and would most likely be KO'D if they met..

The money will come. He really loves fighting in front of his fans. Duh... Which is why he fights on the east coast. Especially, now that he has a choice. He would probably stay in Ohio if he could.

I've given this some thought and changed my opinion a couple ot times. I've watched Taylor / Pavlik 5 times now, and I think Kelly should go after Taylor immediately, and insist on fighting at 160. I think Kelly is a smart kid, and will make adjustments based on carefully studying the tape. (And based also on how pissed off Jack Leow was about Kelly's stunt.) I don't think we'll see him do any more stupid **** like the stuff that got him in trouble. A few adjustments and no dumb stunts, and Pavlik blows Taylor out in 3 or 4 rounds. Next up Abraham, and then Sturm. Unify all the titles, and finish completely cleaning out the division. By that time he'll be ready to move up to 168.
