Trinidad at his best was never as fast as Taylor, nor anywhere near as slick as BHop. The only things that have really bothered Pavlik up to this point are speed and smart movement WHEN COMBINED WITH enough power to keep him honest. Trinidad had the power, but not the speed or slickness. Pavlik would walk Tito down and beat him up. Today's version of Tito wouldn't make 5 rounds. The best MW version wouldn't see the end of 10.
Agreed. Even a prime Tito wouldn't be able to keep Pav off of him. If this fight happens in 2009, I wouldn't even watch it, even if it was on MTV.
If Pavlik agreed to this fight, I'd have a hard time continuing to support the guy. The only exception would be if Trinidad mounted a respectable come back, but that seems highly unlikely.
Only way I would even watch this fight is if Trinidad did something spectacular like KO'd Taylor & beat Hopkins.
y do u guys wanna see tito get killed first puttn him against jt then pavlik he got crushed by rjj i think he hould retire back to puerto rico
If Tito came in better shape he would certantly have a shot at winning. If he hurt Pavlik he would surely have a chance to knock him out. It's not like Pavlik is hard to hit. No Pavlik doesn't have an easy night with Tito at 36.
As you know this fight was talked about, but it was an Arum money dream more than anything else, and Tito wouldn't come down to MW for Pavlik, though he did discuss it later with another potential opponent, whose name escapes me. But all talk, never anything concrete....
You know I respect you as a poster, but PLEASE, name all the welterweights who knocked Pavlik out. I'll wait.
