Ward makes Hopkins and Holyfield look like rank amatuers. He's the best cheater in the game. Unlike Kessler, Pavlik would give it right back to him, and Ward would be the one getting busted up and overwhelmed. Ward isn't that good. With a competant ref it would have been a completely different fight. However, we did not see a competant ref. Instead we saw the same thing we saw in the other two super six fights. The hometown fighter fouled at will with no repurcussions.
Has Pavlik ever done dirty tactics before? Loew was telling him to low blow Hopkins but Kelly never went ahead with it.
I don't think he would be the first to go dirty. He would retaliate. That is my take on things though.
He's rough, but not really dirty. I think it's a matter of tempermant. In the first fight with JT for example, JT did a bunch of fouling and dirty **** when he was trying to take KP out in the 2nd. In the third Kelly hit JT with forearms, elbows, and shoulders, and shoved JT's head back with his open glove a **** load of times. In other words, Pav did not hesitate to retaliate.
I have to agree, Kelly won't let the dirty tactics slide, I think it is in his nature and wild upbringing. I still can't believe he was taking CLEAR shots from Hopkins and was not as affected as Kessler was from a supposed light puncher in Ward, minus the head butts.
Let's just hope Abraham/Ward happens before this is all said and done. For once we can be on the same side and double team some fools on here:yep
Hey Boo, I know it is rarely we agree and support the same fighter but from what I saw yesterday, AA's DEFENSE, POWER and COUNTER PUNCHING SKILLS is what will win him the fight. Kessler was getting hit way too often and WAY too Easy, and Kesller's counter punching was non existant and the guy literally threw ONE uppercut from what I saw THE WHOLE FIGHT. I honestly think Ward is a short compact uppercut from seeing stars. I am confident in a AA win over ward.
there were points in the fight last night where ward was so confident that he was throwing some pretty wild lefts and finishing pretty low leaving his chin exposed but kessler was so out of synch that he couldnt do a damn thing about it. all aa needs is one opening like that. so ward needs to not do that against aa.
