would you go see it? How many seats and PPVs do you think that fight could do if it happens in Cowboy Stadium? I'd go watch it. I know Pavlik has his hands full with Martinez but if he can slip by like Williams did then I think it could be a pretty big fight.
Pavlik cant sell out a small arena in his home town. How do they figure they will do any sales in a huge stadium in Texas?
I was at Cowboy Stadium for the Pacman training session and they showed Pavlik on the big screen and actually got a pretty loud pop from the crowd. You got to remember that Pavlik is a WHITE AMERICAN Boxer. You factor in Dallas, Texas and you got yourself a nice crowd. One of the big reasons why UFC is gaining more popularity than Boxing comes down to race. How many great white american boxers in there today? How many great white mixed martial artist is there? Which sport is currently on a massive popularity trip? Fact is, white people like to support white people. Nothing wrong with that.
^^Nothing wrong with that at all. All fights in The Cowboys stadium are going to be PPV so if Top Rank doesn't have a undercard then I doubt they could sell 20,000 tickets at a similar price.
Why can't people understand this?!?!?!? I'm black. I love some Roy ****in Jones, and some B-****in-Hop. And I almost cried tears of joy watching him **** Pavhick... And I don't see a damn thing wrong with white people liking Pavhick because he's white. I give those Pav-****ers **** all the time, but honestly there really ain't nothing wrong with it. Mexicans love Arreola. Why wouldn't they!?!?! Don't even think about saying something ****ed up about Tito around some Puertoricans... The only thing I don't like is when people try to act like race doesn't account for something in this world when it comes to sports. It always has and always will. It's not just something that a bunch of black people conjure up to make excuses with. On the subject, Pav sold only a few thousand in his hometown... But to be fair to that peckerwood motha****a, Youngstown probably has about a 99.83% unemployment rate. The only motha****a with a job up there is the mayor. And he's part time. Dallas, on the other hand, has a lot more people and money, and that stadium is a draw in and of itself. Paul is not a huge draw, but I think he could be hyped big enough to make the fight worthy of being held in Michael Irvin Stadium. I would go regardless...
Lets see if Pavlik is able to beat Sergio who i think will give him a harder fight than Williams would. Pavlik-Williams would be a big fight for the the die hard boxing fans but i dont think it will do well with the casual fans, and considering the fan base both have(Pavlik mostly in youngstown and Williams only has two fans) i think it would be stupid to stage this fight in the Cowboys stadium.
Jeeeeezusss! I ****in hate yo punk ass!!! So I guess me and Walk With me will be the only two black people sitting in the front row, huh?
If you will be the only two blacks i dont know, but you two will most likely be the only Williams fans there not counting with his family, maybe you can ask Clottey to go with you :hat
The Y-town numbers are extremely misleading. Everytime Kelly has fought in AC, he's sold the place out. 90% of the crowd being from Y-town.
Remember also about the last couple Y-town fights, they took place during really, really shitty weather, and it was still a pretty packed house for Rubio. The Espino fight was during a HUGE blizzard and against a relative nobody on short notice. Pavlik does just fine fighting in Youngstown.
