Pavlik wants Winky on June 7th!!!!!!

Pavlik should be able to open up his defence. Sure, though, it would be a very good win for Pavlik.

 

Wiky definatly has the style to beat pavlik but there is the question of how much he has left and also whether or not he will price himself out.

Where are people seeing this Pavlik v. Winky talk- is there any offiical news source for this?

I was under the impression that KP's people were going to line up an "easy" fight next, so I'd be very surprised if its Winky on June 7 (though maybe after...)

pavlik's workrate, power, and stamina will be alot for wink to overcome. i don't believe winks power is on jermains level so i doubt he will be able to keep pavlikat bay to rely on his jab. i believe wink will eventually be forced to trade and drop the decision or late round tko.

 

While I respect Pavlik for taking on Winky, I can see Winky outboxing him. Hopefully Pavlik drops Winky a couple times to pull out a SD or UD, cuz sadly I don't see Pavlik stopping Winky.

 

Nah, I don't think Winky will be bold enough to drop his hands and let Pavlik hit him flush like he did against Mosley. He can fight conservative, but he will have to have an antedote to Pavliks workrate. His jab was the answer in the Trinidad fight. Jermain kind of revealed that a hard fast jab can work to neutralize Pavlik. it worked up until he stopped using it.

 

Winky UD. Pavlik was somewhat exposed. I see Winky making Pavlik miss a lot and blocking a lot of others. I see him touching Pavlik with that jab.

Let's not forget what Winky did before the Hopkins fight. He was on a roll.

If Pavlik can beat Winky, he will have beaten a very skillful boxer and not just a one dimensional brawler like Miranda or a limited fighter in JT. I will be very impressed if Pavlik beats Winky.

 

his chin isn't good enough. i watched the fight were the mexican dude turned winky wright into a human yo-yo. bounced him off the canvas 5-6 times and wright's eyes were rolling around in his head after he got up from some of those knock downs.

hence why his turtle or peek a boo style was born. the guy did this was a junior middle too. pavlik could easily fill into super middle easy with his frame.

winky wont be able to keep up. pavlik will walk him down every moment of every round and the grinding will wear winky down before the end.
