Pavlik wants Winky on June 7th!!!!!!

Kelly is entitled. Literally. It comes with the title. :hey Winky calls out Pavlik AND wants the lion share for the chance at the title? Let him run his mouth. :-( He had his chance and couldn't get it done.

 

i actually forgot to mention that in my post. winky claimed they were slips, and i believe one reason he did so was because it wasn't televised. however there IS a recording that was eventually put up on the internet, at least so it should still be around somewhere.

one thing i can definately tell you. they were NOT slips! plus the look on his face after 1 or 2 of the knockdowns clearly indicated he was shocked and hurt by them.

not sure where you might be able to find the fight now, but im sure someone will put it up if people demand it enough.

 

I say Pavlik wins by a stoppage. Winky is old and his leg's aren't what they use to be. In Winky's prime, he would make Pavlik look bad but now he look's old and tired. I would favor Hopkins and Calzaghe over Pavlik but not Winky.

 

Winky had his chance at Pavlik, and turned it down. At that time many people expected Taylor to beat Pavlik. Now the equation has changed. Kelly is the champ, obviously. In spite of that, I think they should make Winky a very generous offer, maybe 50/50, and then if Winky turns it down, he is ducking Pavlik, and anything he says becomes irrelevant! If he takes the offer, and looses to Pavlik, his scalp would look mighty good hanging off Kelly's big green belt!

Winky Wright will give a bad beating to Kelly Pavlik.

Pavlik is surely the strongest fighter Wright has ever faced (stronger than Trinidad), but by far not the quickest one... His only chance is to somehow break through the defence of Winky, which won't succeed... even B-Hop had struggle with it, not to mention Mosley, Tito and Taylor...

Wright by close UD. Or Pavlik by very very controversial decision.

Wink is a great boxer, but I dont think he moves well enough to beat Pavlik. Pavlik's straight punches will wear him down and eventually break through the peeka boo defense.

I honestly do not believe anyone that doesnt move like sugar ray leonard can beat pavlik at middleweight. Too big, too strong, too active, thats a recipie for disaster for any slow stationary fighter.

Yes Pavlik is a devastating puncher but if he cant keep hitting Winky consistently then he cant hurt him.
Winky has the best defense in the game. Has a good chin. very ring smart. Also is a good enough puncher to keep Pavlik honest.

THis is a terrible matchup for Pavlik in my opinion.
I dont get why he asked for it.

 

No but enough force(Jermaine Taylor) makes Winky punch himself in the face.

I predict Pavlik punches Winky in the gloves in turn causing Winky to KO himself!
