Pavlik went from almost dead... to fighting dec 19th

I just looked at that and didn't even bother trying to read it. Just so poorly formatted....... I've already put one guy on my ignore list because I got tired of the bold and caps he used. Just unreadable.....atsch

 

I think its Pavliks way of trying to build the fight. A fight like this should have got more press. It's a way of getting people talking about it.

Either that or he's **** scared.

Williams Team would have never gone for another reschedule, they gave him so much **** for rescheduling once. Pavlik is not using the staph infection as an excuse, it is legitimate. He is not scared of Williams, or anyone else, they'll fight, just be patient. He went into the Hopkins fight injured, his team will not let him do that again, can you blame them?

 

Or he couldn't bend his hand to start training and needed a couple more weeks to get in a full trainig camp, sheeeesh, I don't get why that is so impossible to understand.

 

Top quality fighter who is a blatent ***** in not fighting Paul Williams.

the williams fight will happen.

if kelly had his way he wouldnt be fighting on the 19th either. but the wbc said fight or get stripped. the espino fight was taken 3 days after it was brought to kelly's camp. his hand still isnt ok. he's still having a hard time bending his finger. but the idea is espino is a guy he can beat with one hand and keep the wbc off his back.

now...you can debate the wisdom of that all day long. should he drop the belt, heal up and then go back and get it or fight while not 100%??

either way, he's not scared of paul but i think we all know that nobody from 147-160 is gonna beat paul unless your 100%...and kelly aint 100%

but they will fight.

 

Well put:good I think you could be right but i'm on the other side...i gave kelly the benefit until he signed another fight...I understand what your saying in he dont wanna lose the titles but I also think that he see's something in Paul that he cant mess with..maybe its PW throwing 100 punches around and puttin in work that he is kinda shaky on but he turned it down x2....

 

i hear ya. i know it definetly don't look good at first glance. i know a lot of people have said pav should just move up but **** that i really think he needs to fight paul just out of principle. he said he still wants the fight and i believe him. but i think, despite all the setbacks, there is still reason to hope b/c wtf else is there for these guys...here's why i think that...

* no one at 147 is fighting paul anytime soon (whether they want to or not is another issue)
* no big money for paul at 154 (martinez is at 160 right?)
* no other big money for paul at 160 but pavlik and paul deserves a big money fight.
* i don't think paul can go to 168 right now (in fact im pretty sure he has a hard time breaking 160 soaking wet let alone 168 to face guys rehydrating to 175-180)
* no one else at 160 for kelly. hbo lowballed an offer for a sturm fight which sturm won't take anyways and i don't blame him.
* all the big names at 168 are tied up in this tournament.
* assuming bute beats andrade, pav's first fight as a real 168lb campaigner doesnt need to be against a solid southpaw like that. so i would think that would be out of the question.

haha nothing else is going on for these guys. its the perfect time for this fight. this is the only fight that makes sense or that is out there for these guys (big fight i mean). i know paul wants it...kelly has consistantly said he wants it, even now. so we will see. :good
