Yeah and Kessler fought Calzaghe with a broken hand... And Arthur Abraham fought on against Miranda with a broken jaw. So much for the tough breeds of america :)

    Oh a bruised elbow.

Hardly a severe injury is it.

Who ISN'T injured , to some extent? Training for a fight is sometimes just as brutal as the fight itself. All the sparring, pounding on the bags, the trauma of running , and getting hit with medicine balls , while conditioning the body for a fight takes it's toll, and almost always results in some kind of injury. Margarito beat Clottey with a sprained ankle (while Clottey cried the blues about bruising his knuckles on Tony's skull), Larry Holmes won the heavyweight title against Ken Norton with a torn bicep, and Rocky Marciano fought the last half of his career with a chronic back injury.
Of course, some have regretted their decision to fight injured, we'll just wait and see how and if this injury affects Kelly.

Hard to tell. Most of the posts from the anti Calzaghe brigade is comedic.

I don't get it, you're making fun of him for going ahead with the fight?

He'd probably prefer that he kept it quiet and then in the event of a loss cited it as the reason...

you guys are ridiculous the real story here is that Pavlik has become so popular that even the most mundane news to emerge from his camp demands so much attention

It's unfortunate we have to get these extremely biast boxing fans, also unfortunate that alot of them are for Calzaghe I have to remind myself that I like Joe despite his fans.

I still like Joe, but I love RJJ. He's my idol, so I'm hoping for a complete dismantaling of Calzaghe on Nov. 8th.

very slight injury that occurs quite often when you train for such a big fight
