No advantages for chavez in that fight. They protect him because the "christ killer" makes a mint off him. If he was julio caesar valenzulea, instead, his ass wouldn't be on fnf.
I think Pavlik will stomp Chavez also. At one point I heard Pavlik was going to fight one more tune up then Chavez, but I don't know anymore.

So Pavlik is back with one fight under his belt and he would crush Chavez?? I don't think so. First of all he needs to fight a few more fights and see which weight division he will compete in but as of right now Chavez takes it. It's about momentum and Pavlik needs to get back into the sport against real competition. Don't get me wrong I think Pavlik can beat Chavez if he stays healthy and motivated but time will tell
I actually think Arum would have no problems matching Chavez with Pavlik, and O believe Chavez should be favored and would win that fight. Pavlik's time, I believe is over. Too many setbacks along the way. Could we, for a second, look back on Pavlik's career a moment? As much as many seem to trash Jermain Taylor as a fighter, to this day that is Pavliks best (2) wins. He lost to Hopkins, he lost to Martinez. Not saying he didn't have skill and ability, he did... but not as much as his fans may believe that would propel him now into another championship run.
chavez weighed 181 on fight night against rubio. they r both top ranked fighters. so weight, even at 166 i don't think would be a problem. I can't see how chavez can take the pavlik punishment.
stylewise Pavlik would not be goodfor JCC Jr. The kind of fight Pavlik wins. Chavez would be swining and make it into a war and Pavlik lands his big punches and gets Chavez in trouble and the fight is over.
