Kessler has better power than Pavlik. The difference is that Pavlik has that accumulation power since he throws more punches than Kess. The problem can be landing flush shots on JC. Obviously it has been done before but the guy is constantly moving in and out and around the ring. Plus Pavlik is a natural 160lber so im sure his power is nothing that JC has not seen before in the past. I just don't see Pavlik ko'ing him

I think the easiest way to describe Calzaghe is as a chameleon. (I spelt that wrong, but oh well) - the guy doesn't really have one style that he sticks too, he seems capable of mixing up on the inside, outside, midrange and doesn't really consistently stay to a single style.

The fatal flaw in your argument? Pavlik having more power than Kessler. This is most likely not true.

youll see pavlik will be stronger at 168 and he has fought at that weight before KOing every guy he faced at that weight, the guy is starving himself to make 160 you think trinidad lost power when he moved to 154 Nope ,, is the same situation with pavlik he will benefit with the move up in weight his power will be the same or even greater

And this has to do with him having more power than Kessler at 168 how? Kessler is a PROVEN puncher at 168. No need to guess.....

kessler has like 30 ko in 41 fight something like that, that tells you he is a good puncher not a great puncher like kelly who has stped every body except 4 guys, and his power might not be like a hearns type of power were he KO's you with one punch and you will never get up, but its like trinidad type of ower were he will staggered you pretty badly and put you on quuer street and then take you out

Or....and this is a novel idea, Pavlik has only been fighting top level competition for about 4 fights.

    Relevance?

And who said I regard Kessler highly?

You know I HATE when guys like Kessler duck guys like Miranda for title shots. I mean, what was he thinking taking a title shot over Miranda?

And? I never said he doesn't have power. I said he doesn't hit harder than Kessler.

will he get more respect fighting a scrub that poses no challenge for a title or a much more dangerous highly respectable contender

it was the other way around miranda signed the contract and everything was arranged but whrn it was kessler turn to signed he looked the other way so he could get a paper title against some scrub

    Again....relevance?

Miranda isn't highly respected. He is a crude brawler with great power but an inability to land it against high level competition. He is exciting. But not highly respected.
