I think Pavlik is smart enough not to use Jermaine Taylor as a measuring stick between them. Bernard can lose on points until Jesus comes again, the big punching Pavlik will somehow have his right hand neutralilzed...something Hopkins would have figured out how to do before signing the contract. Kelly better plan on outpointing Hop and keeping him on the end of a jab.

B Hop cannot fight another 3 or 4 years easily, he can't even do 12 rounds today.

I agree about Pavlik not KO'ing him though.

Of course he can fight once a year for the next few years. Still don't mean ****. He's falling further and further from the P4P title with each fight.

I don't ever want to see him fight again after this fight.

    He could but he shouldnt.

The years are starting to catchup but I think he still has enough left to give Pavlik trouble.
I dont think Kelly will stop him either.

Pavlik beat Taylor two times. Hopkins lost to Taylor.

Pavlik threw a few hundred more punches against Taylor, then Joe did against Bernard.

What does that mean. Not an awful lot lol.

Pavlik will beat Hopkins. No doubt in my mind.

What round will Hopkins fake that he was low blowed and give himself a 3-5 minute rest so he can finish all 12 rounds.? That's called scamming the public and the sport of boxing and it's exactly what he did to survive against Calzaghe. I hope Pavlik finds a way to stop the old man who would probably DQ himself or quit on his stool with claimed injury before he let himself get stopped. Pav's work rate could be a problem for Hop just like Zags was.

Hops doesn't sign the contract until he knows his gameplan. He already knows what to do to Pavlik...Bernard is hardly guaranteed a win, but he no doubt has a plan that will make him competitive.

Hopkins won the Taylor fights, so using JT as the measuring stick isn't wise.

I fear that the only way Pavlik can win this one is by KO. If it goes the distance, I'd favor Hopkins.

Hopkins could probably last 12 against Jesus. The guy is a master at not getting hit clean.

Bernard can't just assume that Pavlik cannot make better adjustements on the fly than him. Seems to me that Hopkins still believes that he has some superior improvisational jazz-like ability that allows him to antecipate his opponents' moves and capitalize on his mistake... Bernard was putting a lot of weight on his back foot and fighting on very small quarters against Joe and that must be deadly against Kelly.

Remember all a fighter has to do against a defensive target who stays is to... take target practise. Something tells me that Ole Bernard is going for all or nothing from the start and possibly fades late.

You watch Bhop has a plan how to fight Pavlik.
