    If I were Paul and really wanted to go back to 147, I'd be making a play for Pac's Diamond Belt and saying "If he won't fight me then his belt just makes him The Rhinestone Cowboy. Floyd Fleeing Mayweather can't run fast enough and Shane Balco Mosely won't face me without his 'edge'. These guys call themselves elite?

    This is probably why I am not a manager though.

    This is why there should be one title per division.

    I agree. I want him to stay at 160 for as long as is possible. It won't happen, though. He'll go up for the big fight.

    this was exactly what i was thinking when i thought about how all this wold play out. cotto would get smoked but would get a nice payday for his troubles...paul would get a big name, a strap and a good payday in his own right...it makes waaaay too much sense. arum will cash him out if nothing else is on the horizon

    i fear you are right. though i like him against a lot of the top smws right now...i think he would need a few fights against lesser guys before tangling w/ bute.

    boo's points about why my far fetched idea is simply that is worth noting though. there are a bunch of very talented guys coming up that would be great for kelly. if he really wanted to, he could fight at mw as long as he could make the weight against solid opposition. the money, however, outside of williams, is at smw.

    What is Cotto's plans now? I thought he was coming to the end of his contract with TR and that is why he was thrown to Pac?

    you may very well be right herm. i'm not sure how much longer cotto's contract runs w/ arum. boxrec has his next opponent TBA at msg, so the foreman thing isnt finalized i would assume.

    Either way, I don't see the fight happening , especially in what may very well be Cotto's final fight. As a fan of both guys, I don't see it as all that attractive anyway. Whether or not Cotto beats Foreman. For Cotto, it s stylistic mismatch. For PW, he'll be beating up on a little guy.... especially at 154, and won't get credit for beating a "prime" Cotto. Better fights for him going forward. Better fights for Cotto to go out on.

    I would say the same goes for all "extreme fans" of every fighter. Alot of people disagree with Pac fans and almost everybody disagrees with Floyd fans.....I don't see why Pavlik's extreme fans would be any different.
