well...what would throw my whole well planned yet far fetched idea out the window is if the martinez negotiations hit a snag and the fellas see that sakio bika was left holding the bag when green got tossed into the S6 tourney. bika would be a solid way for pav to move up. i would rather see him stay down at mw w/ all these guys coming up but hey, bika has a little hype around him w/ everyone asking why he, among others, wasnt asked to be in the tourney in the first place.

to the question boo, the first miranda fight was awesome, but edison seemed to have the fight beat out of him that night

i agree cotto probably doesnt belong at 154. you are right about that. but the only way i can see cotto get another big fight at ww is if ssm or clottey can pull of an upset and want to settle the score w/ cotto.

and your right to point out that williams won't get all the credit for beating a prime cotto at his prime weight but if cotto has a strap and williams can take it down along w/ a good payday to set up a big money unification fight w/ sergio....i can see them saying "why not"

    again, all just conjecture

Lighting would have to strike twice and I'm sure there will be a rematch clause.

    Trust me on this...

Paul will fight Cotto tomorrow. :deal In Atlantic City, Madison Square Gardens, or even the San Juan Convention Center... Or in Cotto's Mama's backyard for Youtube cameras.

Add a 154 strap and see what happens.:yep

Upon first viewing Pavlik/Miranda was a thriller. Mostly because of KP's rather audacious fight plan, but I've watched it several times, and after round two it was pretty much a one-sided beat down.

I think Edison is a bit shaken at this point. He is afraid of ghosts, if you ask me.

Crystal Ball says Pav better not fight Martinez. Or he's going back to the drawing board.

Yes, and the only real question is how long does it take? Martinez is at his best as the aggressor. The more aggressive he is against Pavlik, the sooner Pavlik closes the show.

martinez can't keep kelly off him all fight.

martinez will be darting around early like he was against paul but even then sergio showed he can be dropped even when fresh. against paul sergio wilted and was gassing down the stretch and those slick angles turned into straight lines and he was holding on in survival mode.

he may very well have his way early but i honestly believe he gets dropped later on.

i also honestly believe the risk/reward is not there for this fight. kelly wins he just beat paul's leftovers. kelly loses and he just lost to paul's leftovers. its borderline not worth it imo but he really doesnt have any other options. he could get paid ***** slapping mundine around but he'd catch hell for that. sturm is walking around at 190+ and can't be ready for a fight. paul aint happening right now. winky will want the AC boardwalk renamed after him. sergio is all that is there really and of course he'll take it seeing how his belt won't be on the line.
