I saw Jack Loew on local tv when the Hopkins fight was first announced. He didn't like it one bit from the looks of it. Kelly never said he would KO Bhop that I heard. Right now Kelly is under rated. That will change this year.

underrated??? he fights bums on pay per view for every fight...he has a large fan following because top rank boasts up his opponents and kelly KO's them..props to him for getting the job done tho..but he is a very protected fighter....do you remember when top rank was saying JOHN DUDDY was a viable contender to pavlik!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he ducked williams and has chose to fight undeserving fighters

He did not duck Williams. Not even going to go over that ground again. Believe what you want.

arum was the one that called williams out after pavlik's fight..kelly just stood there quiet

Since you're new I'll cut you some slack. Kelly asked for two more weeks because he was in training camp and unable to make a complete fist yet. Williams said no and moved on. No one blamed him. Kelly really wanted to rest his hand until the first of the year, but the two ABC's whose belts he has threatened to strip him if he didn't fight by years end. Arum threw together a low risk bout at the last minute to keep him from getting stripped. You'd think the orgs could wait another month? They have waited longer for medical reasons.

So, yes, he did fight two weeks later. The same two weeks he offered Williams but wasn't really ready even then. If his jab was working, Espino would NOT have gotten inside like he was doing.

Second, after the fight Arum and Kelly both called Williams out. Arum told them basically to put up or shut up and gave him one year to accept the previous contract which is STILL a career payday for Williams. I doubt he will get that money anywhere else.

But let's be very honest here. Williams was cut up pretty bad against Martinez and I doubt we see him for at least 6 months.

im new hahah...yeah here...the fight was going to happen in october...got pushed back...then he wanted another push back...c'mon...fight or not stop asking for all these delays..why would williams wait on him when it wasn't even certain his staph infection was going to heal...he claimed he couldn't even make a fist...went to the hospital..then fought shortly after...

arum said to just initial the contract and that would serve as the negotiations...goosen..williams promoter said that after their last fights the split is not fair..pavlik failed to sell out his hometown..and the williams martinez fight boosted williams bargaining power.

i think pavlik would beat williams as well..but he still ducked him

I went to the open work out here in town. I 'eavesdropped' on some of Kelly's crew. Believe me, they wanted the fight. Well, believe or not. I have enough contacts to know. You are not in that position.

Your timing of events is just flat out wrong. The infection was healed. All of the hospital time was done. After the infection was healed they took of the cast. They had not put his hand in a cast the first time. So, once he was healed and started training, he realized it was not like the first time because he wasn't regaining flexibility. This was an unforeseen circumstance and they finally realized that even though the infection was gone he would not gain full range of motion in the left hand in time for the fight. You are listening to the haters if you believe he was in the hospital a couple of weeks before the fight. This was all prior to having to postpone in October.

Again, if his left hand was 100%, Espino doesn't keep getting inside like he did against Kelly who has one of the best jabs in the business.

Everything I posted is factually correct to the best of my knowledge. I am pretty sure I followed this a lot closer than you did. If you really believe Kelly ducked PW that is your choice. I know better.

google the dates rather than trying to remember them...the only reason i remember is because i was defending pavlik on another site..and was happy he was taking on this challenge..but i was soon disappointed at his actions following all these delays

If you think Kelly was in the hospital two weeks before Dec. 5 you are just plain wrong. I don't have to google that.

Sturm would be a tough fight for Pavlik. I don't think it would be a walk over.

whatever the time...he was in the hospital because he had a reaction to the medicine to the staph infection and his temperature soared to 104...

OK. I just pulled that from another thread that was JUST POSTED and you doubt MY memory. This conversation is over. You just owned yourself.
