Pavlik/Williams Press Conference @ GIANTS Stadium Today

im not so sure his chin is china i've seen him whacked pretty good by B-hop, Miranda and JT. PW is a volume puncher not a killer he wont K.O. pavlik by any means, but he will win U.D.:good

 

I honestly think IF Williams can hold a shot from Pavlik, and that's a big if, his style will be all wrong for The Ghost. Pavlik likes to maintain a good workrate and pump a hard jab to mask the heavy artillery coming behind it, but Williams is an awkward proposition, with a reach advantage and fast hands throwing shots that are inaccurate but end up hitting you around the face and temple. I do think he looked really accurate against Kolle, but who the **** is Kolle?!? My biggest concern is that P-Dub does not use his length to his advantage and likes to lean in (Corrales style) The kind of uppercuts can whip in.....man it would be weird to see the stringy Williams go down in a heal but this is what will happen f he admires his work for one second. A perfect execution of a gameplan is required by Williams. The variables make it 50-50 but I'm rooting for Williams.

 

Every skilled fighter Paul has faced caught him with left hooks and right hands. Those guys were all 5' 7" to 5' 10". Pavlik is 6' 2" and PW is wide open to 2 of his 3 best weapons. KP by KO.

This is my worry. Williams is not a 'boxer' by any means, he's just a very awkward pressure fighter. His career as a top line fighter could be ended in one night.

But I admire him for taking the risks considering he can still make Welter. He is a true throwback.

 

i dont know why but when i think of this fight i see miranda and pavliks fight and i see the same outcome.....

 

I never bet. But if I were to bet, it would be on this fight for sure. Pavlik by KO.

My feelings about this one are mixed. I like it for KP, but I honestly wish PW would have just cleared out 154. Pavlik tests fighters in ways that PW has never been tested. He has just enough boxing skill that when combined with his size, power, and reach, he is a much tougher nut to crack than most people give him credit for. If PW goes in thinking all he has to do is avoid a big right hand, he is in for a VERY rough night.

 

Pavlik Knocking out Williams is a big possibility.....Cant wait for this fight
