again, you saying he defends against C and D level competition is incompatible with you saying you don't care about titles. after beating taylor to win the titles, he fought taylor again above 160 and also fought hopkins at 170.

i understand where you are coming from about the title defenses. i'm disappointed w/ how everything has turned out and i know kelly is too.

but you can't go from ripping him about how bad his title reign is and then push for him to fight in non title fights. even if he did meet bute or green at 164, he would still only have C and D level defenses right?? which would still get him an ass chewing by you right??

Its not really about the title defenses than it is about fighting good competition!

The problem was that when he did defend his title it was against sub-par competition!

If KP were to win against some good fighters every now and again then no one could say **** about him and defending his title against bums because of a thin MW division! But because he seems as if he dosen't wanna venture away from 160 then It makes him look suspect with every move in his career!

As a PW fan I can say I'm proud of what my fighter is doing win, lose or draw!

I understand circumstances haven't been best for KP but to tell you the truth it looks as if Team Pavlik really doesn't care!

Instead of just calling PW out he should be also calling out Bute!

this entire board has become a mess w/ all this pac/pbf ****. i come back and sit down and the entire first page is the same thing. ffs they need their own forum. i think the mods gave up trying to merge like threads there are so many.

here were are going back and forth about pav/williams getting ruined b/c of a hand injury (whether the contract shoulda been signed aint the point)....and the rest of the board is shedding years off their lives debating drug tests and PED's.

    minor rant

Pavlik should fight any of Bute, Sturm, Golovkin or N'Dam N'Jikam.

Well, I'd guess most of the top of Top Rank have been tied up in knots over this crap too. I'm sure they are still working on some of the other stuff but you would have to think that doing possibly the biggest money fight in the history of boxing would garner most of their attention right now, especially given the timing of the bout. Kind of now or never in terms of signing.

Sturm says he wants a fight in May or June. Arum wants Pavlik back in the ring in February or March. Sturm wants to fight KP in Cologne Germany. In Germany Pavlik could knock Sturm out cold, and still end up losing a split decision. Plus, I doubt very much if Sturm wants to get knocked out in his first appearance under his new TV contract. This one ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

Mundine is making noise again, but his next two opponents are already set. He'll knock off these two bag ladies, and then schedule a fight with the nearest Wal-Mart greeter. This one ain't happening either.

Winky is talking smack AGAIN, but if Wright actually wanted a fight with KP, he would have had one a long time ago. He has already turned down several very fair offers, and this **** has been going on for years. Don't look for this one. You'll only be disappointed.

Sylvester has a fight scheduled for January 30th. He probably won't be ready to fight again until June/July. And, as far as I know, Sylvester has never mentioned Pavlik.

Macklin/Pirog is scheduled for February 19th. The winner won't be ready to fight again until mid-summer. A lot of people are picking Pirog to beat Macklin. If he does, there is just no way his team will put him in with Pavlik in his 16th pro fight.

George Peterson came down with a bad case of "I should shut the **** up," and Dan Goosen took Paul Williams into protective custody. Last I heard they are looking for a fight with the Mosely/Berto winner, because PDub is just a welterweight.

Sergio Martinez is a possibility, but if I were DiBella, I'd keep Martinez at 154. He raised his profile a lot in the Williams fight. HBO would probably be happy to pony up for fights with Dzinzurik, Martirosyan, Angulo, Spinks, Kirkland, and Foreman. Those are all winnable fights for Sergio, and with that many good opponents he could spend the rest of his career at 154, and establish himself as a great champion. A fight with Pavlik gets him knocked the **** out.

David Lopez is ranked #6 at 160 by Ring Magazine. Lopez hasn't lost a fight in 5 years, and he has racked up some decent wins. He is a deserving challenger, and the best middleweight who is actually available, and won't **** things up in negotiations. The clock is ticking on David's career. I'd love to see him get a shot at the champ, and the pay day that would come with it.

Excerpt from an article posted a little bit ago at the sight where fans are in the boxing house.

Arum told Team Williams to put up or shut up. Looks like they opted to "shut their damn mouths."

I am hoping for Martinez/Williams II and Pavlik/Sturm, then winner vs winner. Martinez and Williams have got to it again.

Now that pavlik has healed and is ready to fight, camp williams will go into hiding. We will not speak or talk about pavlik ever again.
