No, Pavlik needs to build up his profile in Europe by fighting a few Euro 'name' opponents for pittance first.

    :yep

That's actually the word from an interview on the front page and repeated in other threads.

He should have one more tuneup after Rubio and then fight Abraham. A big knockout win for him would really build up his confidence for Abraham.

No real indication of a confidence problem for Kelly. He went into the Hopkins fight less than 100% against a bigger guy. Had this happened at MW when he was 100%, then yes. We will see Saturday. I just think this is a non issue. Someone asked at the presser if he had seen a sports psychologist....

Is there any way Pavlik can win a decision in Germany?

Abraham will beat Pavlik no matter what country they fight in. The Hopkins fight really showed that Kelly is somewhat one demensional. Unless Pavlik can really improve his fight game in training before he fights Abraham I think he loses a UD 12, (9-3-1).

Miranda couldn't get a TKO after breaking AA's jaw. They gave him two minutes to recoup and then gave him rounds as he ran like a ***** for the rest of the fight. For good measure he could look at the ref and get points deducted for 'low' blows to the point Miranda was afraid to go to the body and could only swing at AA's guard. A few seconds of punching AWAYS wins him the round on a Saurland card.

If Kelly KO's him in Germany he might find out there they have been saving the DQ for KTFO your opponent just for him. :D

Seriously, this would have to be under some serious negotiations. Saurland is promoter AND commission. So he oversees the fairness of his own shows? Seem strange to anyone that he could get away with this? But, according to Loew, Saurland isn't offering to fight Kelly in either location.

Where oh where are all of the people saying Kelly is ducking AA? Notice how this and the other thread shriveled up and just died when this was brought up? Even the strangest of threads VG has posted have done much better than this.

Are you for real? MIRANDA won the first couple of rounds out boxing AA.

let's just hope the fight happens. us/germany doesn't matter. pavlik's too active to lose a decision in either country, but aa might just knock him out.

Marquez was the only recent fight I have seen from AA where he was willing to come forward. He knew early on Marquez couldn't hurt him. Against any real pressure AA likes to go lay in the corner with his guard up. Just where Kelly does his most damaging work. I think Kelly is smart enough to know how to work against his guard. Kelly has a nice reach advantage to stay out of range. This helps him work the guard without getting caught.

Even if it did show that Kelly is one-dimensional, Arthur Abraham is NO BERNARD HOPKINS. Hopkins, as much as I dislike the guy's persona, is one of the slickest boxers alive, no matter what age. Bernard Hopkins would have done the exact same thing to Abraham, because it's not like Abraham's got a bag full of boxing tricks himself. Abraham fights a lot like Eddie Chambers (except Abraham actually has power, BIG power). He sits in a "shell" and blocks a large percentage of his opponent's shots while waiting to counter with one of his powerful hooks. Abraham is easy to find, unlike Hopkins - it's getting through his shell that will be the hard part. Pavlik will have to try to soften him up with some body shots to get to the head, and it WILL be a tough fight if it happens, but it's pointless to say Abraham is capable of doing what Hopkins did because Abraham doesn't have the skills that Hopkins has. It's a COMPLETELY different fight. ;)

Well, Jack just put the ball into Saurland's half of the court. Saurland's move.
