I'm a fan of both. Pavlik gets hit too much to take much of Abrahams power. Pav. better end it early or he will get dumped by one big blast, and if he gets back up from that, Yikes!

Pavlik's camp, not Arum, dropped a hint they thought it would be AA in June. I think this indicates an offer was made and they assumed negotiations would pan out. Who knows though. Arum does the negotiations. I doubt Jack speaks German, so he probably only knows what Arum tells him.

  4. Does this mean the offer to Sturm just got tripled?

Not to worry. This fight won't go the distance. Either fighter could get KO'd and I am leaning toward King Arthur.

I havent seen much of AA before, but I recently watched his latest fights..and he is going to either get outboxed or ko'd....he swings so wide and Pavlik shoots everything right down the middle....after the Hopkins fight I think he be a little quicker on the trigger as well cuz he probably realized that was his problem in that fight

wtf?! Abraham clearly won 3 of the first 4 rounds plus the 5th when he seemed desperate with his punches...

Abraham's resume' is thinner than my hair! After the Ikeke fight Sauerland kept AA completey away from tall fighters. Can't say that I blame them. If AA approached any tall world class fighter the same way he approached Ikeke, they'd still be searching the audutorium for his head.

Ever since the same version of Eastman that Miranda sparked in 7 rounds went the distance with AA, Sauerland has kept him away from accomplished fighters.

Arthur has exactly one fighter who can crack on his record, and that's Miranda. Any honest fan knows that if that first Miranda fight would have been held in any respectable boxing town, even Smoger would have stopped it. Other than Miranda, Sauerland has kept AA completely away from punchers. That's probably why Zuniga mysteriously disappeared from the IBF rankings just before AA fought his voluntary defense against Elvyn Ayala.

Pavlik is a tall, accomplished fighter who can bang. He represents everything that Sauerland has kept Abraham away from. I seriously doubt if they are anxious to put their boy in the ring with Kelly.

As far as fighting in Germany is concerned, the recent revelation that AA only makes about $700K per fight really damages the myth that there would be more money there. Pavlik made $2.5 million for Gary freaking Lockett!

Arthur holds a title that Jermain Taylor vacated, and KP beat JT twice. Kelly is the champ, and he is the draw. If Arthur and Sauerland want the fight, they should prove it by fighting an eliminator against the winner of Wright/Williams.

Good to hear they'd go the Germany, but I only believe it if they sign the contract and go. Abraham didn't say he'd go to US. He went to the US and KTFO Miranda.

But KP-AA should happen in the US, makes more sense. Abraham couldn't care less where the fight is, he's a real professional.

What Kelly and Jack say means absolutely nothing, unfortunately. Bob Arum is clearly protecting his money fighters this year. He's only interested in home fights. He still wanted Cotto-Margarito II after Tony got knocked out, now he wants Cotto-Pacquiao, and not Cotto-Mosley II. It'll be Pavlik-Duddy, because it's a relatively cheap fight and an easy blowout with a sell-out guaranteed (but KP-AA would be a sell-out too). No way Arum would risk the Abraham fight, it's very, very dangerous.
