    Exactly!!!

    Same goes for Pavlik.
Me thinks better in the U.S. as well. In case this fight would happen in Germany and AA would knock out Pavlik fair and sqare I can already imagine all the excuses like "The hotel had no aircon" or " We couldnt find proper food for the champ"... Seen here on ESB multiple times before.

Shouldn't Pavlik be taking a fight in Germany first to 'build up his profile' and 'get himself known' over there?

Afterall, that's what everyone demands of European fighters before getting fights in the US. That's what people were saying Abraham should do, then he did and nothing happened.

Zbik is highly rated by both the WBC and WBO, maybe they could try for him?

    Agreed.

Anyways Germany is a nice place to be...I would love to see Pavlik getting knocked out in Berlin :)

@Hermit: I don't believe the rumors. AA and Sauerland want this fight badly. IF Pav and his Management really tinker with the idea to fight in Germany, Sauerland wouldn't hesitate to seal the deal.

Er, didn't Zuniga move up to super middleweight?

Pavlik is tall but he isn't accomplished. This is one of the most one sided posts I've come across. Why would Abraham be kept away from tall fighters when he so soundly beat Ikeke?

As for the first Miranda fight, yet it was dodgy. But he went on to KO Miranda in Miranda's backyard, a sign of improvement. Abraham beat Marquez more efficiently than Taylor did, more accuacy, more power, less waste; he fought Ikeke, a guy Taylor avoided on the way up. Let's be fair, fights with Eastman (anothr one that Taylor was kept away from), Gardner & Hamden on the way up are good tests (though sadly better than many of his title defenses). Elcock and Gevor are decent fighters, both stopped. Ayala drew with Sergio Mora, who went on to win and lose the WBC 154 title. Jantuah sparked Rubio in one - the same Rubio that Pavlik's fighting. These are things that you don't acknowledge, one bit.

If Abraham is going to fight Pavlik, for most of the middleweight marbles, then why the **** would he fight the Wright-Williams winner before that? Why would the Wright-Williams winner fight an elim vs Abraham? That just isn't business sense. Boxing being a business above all.

I think we all want to see 2 punchers like Pavlik and Abraham go in there. Pavlik had a bad shock up at light heavy, so he's getting an easy mandatory out the way and then poss John Duddy, an easy/lurative bout. He's in the comfort zone right now. We don't know what Kelly's going to be like following the Hopkins loss. He and Abraham can seriously shake each other up. Let's hope negotiations crack onward.

Yes he did. In fact he'd had two fights there and picked up the vacant IBO title at SMW before Abraham fought Ayala. Not particularly 'mysterious' that he would no longer be ranked at middleweight then...

Abraham should fight Pavlik in the US. No matter that he gets robbed like Martinez or Funeka. (Do you americans already forgot your criminal ref from the last weekend?)
AA KO´s KP and nu judges needed.

What difference does it make whether he loses the titles in Berlin or Las Vegas?

Pavlik doesn't need 2 tune up fights, so a fight in June would be fine for him. Just look how he stands up after being knock down. He goes straight to the other boxer like anything happened. If he can do that after an 8 second break, I'm not worried for him many months after a loss.

Duddy could get cut up vs Vanda, you never know. Then hopefully that would put off Duddy v Pavlik.

Yeah, I'd like to see them apply. Saying that kind of crap is getting typical now but applying we don't really see.

I'm just glad he's at least willing to fight Abraham.

And Abraham isn't one-dimensional? I've probably seem 10 of his fights, and he does the same exact thing every fight. He shells up, occasionally countering for the first two minutes of every round, then lets his hands go in the last minute of the round. Elvin Ayala was outboxing him for half of a fight. I can see where you might think Abraham would win by KO, but I find it hard to believe that he's just that much better of a boxer than Pavlik. Personally, I think Sturm would be more likely to decision Pavlik than Abraham.
