If the fight was so clear, why did Pavliks corner think he needed a knockdown to win? I thought he looked like the beat fighter in between rounds, like he knew he was losing. I scored it 115-113 Taylor, but hey, the guys that count didnt. I think Taylor has plenty of fights left in him.

I actually thought he fought a stupid fight. Until the 11th round he kept head hunting and throwing the same combo over and over again; jab, jab, overhand right. After the first round, Jermain simply put up his guard when Kelly went to punch. This allowed him to block most of Kelly's punches, and counter him. Had Kelly simply worked the body the whole fight, he would've stopped Taylor. Personally, I had Jermain up 7-5. Luckily for Pavlik, Jermain isn't a technically sound fighter. Once again, Kelly had a suspect fight plan that could've easliy resulted in him losing this fight.

Why? Because I have a point of view that is different from yours?

He could get a shot at Abraham and Sturm, but he can't make 160. His options are at 168, where he is unlikely to become a RING champion.

it was a good competitive fight. pavlik won but it wasn't easy - taylor did well but the right man won.

pavlik is the best middleweight out there right now, but I don't think he will ever be seen as a great middleweight. then again, he's got plenty of time to prove me wrong as long as he doesn't do anythin stupid like move up to smw too early.

btw, did this fight undo the "taylor glass jaw theory"?
