    **** off capfunds you mug.
if the fight happened the betting would be close and very possibly Kessler favourite. I'd say that's a better reference point than your biased rants.

Kessler needs to come back and prove himself and frankly I am pretty unimpressed with his attitude since he lost to Calzaghe in fact it is poor. His next fight is a joke and Miranda would have been much better.

Pavlik has a far better attitude at the moment and is proving himself much more.

But your analysis of the two is about as bias as it gets. Kessler is by far the slicker boxer, his jab is faster and more compact, he has a much better defence and his timing is brilliant. He throws much tighter combinations with less wide punches and a thus far harder to counter.

He disguises the uppercut well and his hand speed is FAR better than Pavliks. He also has a better chin.

Pavlik has more power, a better workrate and may be mentally stronger (but the last one is open to question).
Kessler has easily outboxed far slicker, faster fighters than Pavlik and battered tough come forward guys with granite chins, and he has never been dropped in his career and has a decent defence.

How on earth these clear factors lead you to the conclusion that Pavlik would beat the **** out of him, I do not know. Especially when Pavliks career at the top level consists of basically 2 (arguably 3) fights. And those 2 fights against Taylor showed he is easy to hit and he was nearly stopped inside 2 rounds by a guy who is certainly no bigger puncher than Kessler and is most probably a lighter puncher than Kessler and in the second fight he was pushed close.

Why off the basis of a great win but where he was moments from being stopped and a good but tight win in the rematch over Taylor we have people talking as if he has thrashed a host of good names I do not know.

    I agree Cappy.

Pavlik has the length and power to demolish Kessler's guard and land flush right hands. Kessler is a 1-2 act. He is so one dimensional it isn't even funny. The only person more predictable than Kessler at 168 is Andrade. Pavlik smashes them both.

Kessler is the bigger guy as well. Pavlik would be moving up. Pavlik may be taller...but Kessler is the much bigger built guy.
Frankly it seems to me that most Americans are getting overexcited about Pavlik as there's **** all else going on in US boxing. He's good and very good for the sport....but I reckon Kessler beats him. anyone who suggests it's a blowout or easy win either way needs to be treated with serious suspicion.

someone wants attention!!! but seriously kessler would KO pavlik for the reason that pavlik is a very straight forward guy and can be hurt. if kessler fights taylor who gave pavlik all he could handle you will see a domination.

Yeah, anyone with the audacity to pick anybody over either Joe or Kess is obviously A) a troll, B) a hater, or C) a dumb **** who knows nothing about boxing.:verysad You ****ers kill me.

Kessler, from what I've seen, I would pick a few states based boxers over him: MIranda, Pavlik, Taylor, and most def. Dawson. Canadian: Bute busts his ass in 9.

Joe is far better in many ways than Kess, and although I fully realize he could out point Pavlik, I also believe 50/50 style that Pavlik could kick his ass. That's why this one will be huge if it can get made.:deal

All of us on this side of the pond were getting quite high on Kessler pre-Calzaghe, but excluding the 12th round when he finally seemed to realize he was getting that ass tapped, he wasn't doing **** after the 4th round or so.

Now even after a loss, we wanted to see much more of Kessler given his potential, but as another poster put it before his WBA deals came to light, as long as he doesn't go back to fighting the "usual suspects" in his back yard.

**NOTE: The true Kessler fans: Hogler, JanDk, Faetter, and quite a few others have been very gracious, humble, and have even expressed a little embaressment over his new '08 Schedule - Sartison and Haussler. And realize he had the keys to the "big fights" Kingdom right in front of him.

    The Calzombies however.:!:

    MIRANDA? How? Based on what?

He has a punchers chance at best, and this is a puncher who could not really dent Pavlik who has been down several times and nearly stopped by Taylor. Kessler has never even been floored so Miranda sure as hell cant just land one good shot and have him.

Every other aspect of Kesslers game is better than Mirandas.

I don't understand how you can watch Kessler v Andrade and Kessler v Mundine and Kessler v Beyer and then watch any 3 Miranda fights and think Miranda has the beating of him.:huh

The other picks...fair enough, we all have different ideas on who would win what.
And I agree that Kesslers actions and choice of opponent is a joke.

Very fair post, Strike. TFFP should take note. Miranda is def. the wild card in my choices, but he is much better than most like to give him credit for. Not to mention he, like most high class boxers, keeps improving. Is just my opinion, and I'm certainly no fight picks guru, but I would honestly put my money on Miranda in that fight.

Long put short, Joe impresses me with a lot of things about his game (although I'll admit technique is hardly something to fall in love with), and Kessler just does not. My opinion.

Like I said, the audacity of some of us to pick anyone over Kessler, just blows your mind, huh?:rofl

The thing is, Miranda and Bute are such horrible picks it almost defies belief. How can it not be blatantly obvious Miranda needs an absolute miracle to beat Kessler?

What does Bute really do better than Kessler? He hasn't even fought a B level fighter yet, he's feasting on old middleweights :patsch

The others are forgiveable, I don't see it myself, but a case can be made.
