As opposed to all those top level fighters that love getting hit? :? I never understand that one. I also never understand the claim that Kessler hates pressure. He dealt perfectly with a true pressure fighter in Andrade. No, he doesn't like Joe Calzaghe, just like a lot of people.
Brother, I just can't get it with the Andrade ****. He does come at you, and swinging pretty damn wildly too, but a good or top level pressure fighter is also gonna have atleast some resemblance of balance and defense, no? Andrade is possibly one of the clumsiest dudes I've ever seen in there, and falls way the **** forward reaching for somebody with the chin just dangling out. Heart and balls of a lion though, just don't understand all the posters who take to the slick/boxer types suddenly having all this love for Andrade?
He's still a pressure fighter. He comes forward, trying to throw a lot of punches. The whole idea of a pressure fighter is to not allow the opponent a minutes rest, Andrade does that, especially if you don't have the footwork or jab to control the distance Calzaghe is not a pressure fighter, and he certainly didn't fight like one against Kessler. He fought fairly orthodox, by his standards. Andrade is the closest thing to a pressure fighter Kessler fought, and he shut him out, so how people conclude he doesn't like pressure I've no idea. If anything, we need to see more evidence before we come to any conclusion.
I would love to see Kessler against Pavlik, a freaking war, my money will be on Kessler ( surprise ) but it would be hell of a fight, as long as it lasted.
dude seriously how do you know he ducked miranda, thats like saying what is a 6`2/3 pavlik doing at middleweight is he ducking everyone at smw and LHT? jesus man your seriously ******ed...your obsessed with pavlik.
Not half as foolish as someone who rates Pavliks chin as better based on Kessler not having fought Miranda. Lets see...Kessler has never been dropped as a professional or amateur. Pavlik has been floored by 4 different fighters and out on his feet from Taylor. But Kessler has not fought a Miranda, thus Pavlik has the better chin? atsch And opposition? You think Taylor and Miranda means his resume is better? How? Kessler has fought Calzaghe, Mundine, Beyer and Andrade. Pavlik has fought Taylor, Miranda and erm.....who?
And here's me thinking Pavlik has already fought someone like Joe... how did that go again? ... oh hang on, that's right, he's not fought anyone remotely on Calzaghe's level to see if he's the multi dimensioned fighter you make out. Best bet is wait and see, hope the fight is made and we'll see how Kelly handles someone on Calzaghe's level. So far I've only seen him knock out the limited Miranda, almost get knocked out by the predicably stupid Taylor (who would have stopped all these threads had he known the meaning of composure) and struggle like **** and get outboxed whenever Taylor had the energy to be bothered... apart from that his record reads a who's who of absolute fodder, not even on the same level of Calzaghe's often criticised resume. I like Pavlik a lot as a person and boxer, but this is just getting out of hand. Kessler is naturally MUCH bigger framed than Pavlik, probably hits harder, certainly gets hit less and has better handspeed, footspeed and movement. I'd love to see this fight, my money would be on the Dane, I'd want Pavlik to win... but more of these threads and I'll probably end up wanting to see him lose to shut his moronic fans up.
No he doesn't! Anyway I'm not going to counter as I've been told crapfond is an honorable member of the order of the brown ring, that is, the one south of the spine.
