Pavlik would Pummel the Punisher

I concur ! Paul can't take too many shots from the ghost . Now if his chin did hold up I could see him beating pavlik on pts . But I juist don't see it and I would see kelly just walking him down and jus breaking him down .

 

I agree, I don't think Williams will have enough power at middleweight to hurt Pavlik and Pav would just walk through him.

Paul hits harder than you guys probably are thinking. I guess people say he has no power 'cause he didn't KO Winky. Yet, who in here thinks anyone out there in MW can KO Winky?

Everyone points out how easy Paul is to hit. Yeah, he takes shots. BUt who in here has seen him even stagger? No one. Not even you delusional Margo fans who claim he was out on his feet in the 11th. Bull****.

He has the chin, stamina, workrate, and angles that KP would have a rough time with. Pavlik is a great fighter, but if he gives Paul another year or so to grow into the 160's, he will be in for an embarrassment.

 

Williams 'work rate' is a lot of arm punches. Pavlik can match that rate but bring much more power to the table. Not even close at this point. Paul would need to grow into the weight and work on putting power into his punches and not worry about 'scoring points'.

You can't ask him to go out and KO Winky Wright in his first real MW test. He had enough power to hurt Winky. Really hurt Winky. And KP's defense is much worse than anything Paul has ever faced. If Paul gets to the 7th, KP will be in major trouble.

KP don't have close to the speed to catch Paul like Quintana, Winky, and even Phillips did. He is a slow as Margarito with more power and much less stamina. He ain't no perfect fighter either.

 

Williams needs to give Shane Mosley a shot first.

 

paul will eventually get hit with a very flush power shot and one of two things will happen: (1) he drops like a brick in a well or (2) he gets stunned real bad and decides to trade and then drops like a brick in a well.

i really like pw in and out of the ring but he's not mw yet. just cuz he fought one doesnt mean he is one yet. he needs to grow into the weight class. he's never been hit by anything like what pav would throw and pav has obviously been hit harder then anything paul can throw AT THIS POINT. hermit has a good point about him and his weight and needing to develop power at that weight class.

BUT!!!! if he sticks around at jmw and cleans it out cuz i know he can...pav will be gone to smw and he can then move up to mw and who would stop him then??? he'd have the whole division to himself

Williams would beat the crap out of Pavilk, Pavilk is slow with no head movement. I dont want to see this fight though, I wanna see Pavilk get humiltaed against King Arthur this fall

 

a points win for pw is a better argument than that. if hopkins, who used pav's head for a punching bag the entire fight, couldnt stop him at 170...how the hell is pw going to stop him at 160 when pw is not on the same level as hopkins at all (no knock on pw there but as of right now there is no comparison)

 

Williams's output would be much higher.... he wouldn't have to take a break in midfight like Hopkins did, or get a point taken!
