You will have to define "schooled" as you see it because I haven't seen any indication that Abraham is a master boxer by ANY stretch of the imagination.
wow how smart are u....i think that was pavliks plan...but are u sure he would not be ducking aa if he did as he planed...cleaning out the mw...he is not ducking aa or has he ever ducked anyone but all of u people keep going around and around about it...im kind of sick of hearing it
You're smarter than me. You spend less time here. I guess I'll take the clue. If you can't see Arum's plan of Duddy, Sturm, Abraham is the best thing that could happen to Kelly's career, well, then, I just don't know what to say to these folks. It isn't Kelly's or Arum's fault AA can't stay off the donuts between fights.
sick of hearing it??????????????? no one always talks about him ducking him AA, Pavlik just beat JT for the second time a year ago.. i said IF HE DOESNT FIGHT HIM HE IS DUCKING HIM BECAUSE AA DEFINATLY WANTS THE FIGHT im a pavlik fan too but you dont have to be a fanatic
Fans went wild when Rubio went to the ropes. Pavlik always let him off. Jack kept telling him "Stick to the plan". Was "The Plan" to carry Rubio into the late rounds and then finish him off for the home town crowd? I think Rubio got wind of it. Why do you think he was crying on his stool at the end of 9? He knew he was walking out to his execution. Pavlik punished his body on the ropes and then let up. Don't expect him to show Abraham ANY mercy.
i did not say i have been hearing it for a year...and that is all i am reading on alot of the threads...so calm down dont take it so personal
Um - Miranda's boxing skills were garbage bag compared to Pavlik's defence and analytical mindset. I thought Pavlik dismantled Miranda in a more convincing fashion than Abraham and he did it first. AA's heart is beyond compare for his first Miranda performance and I commend him - But that fight was a disgrace on every level and should have been stopped.
I have raw footage of that first fight. Unbelievable is all I can say. AA would turn to the ref and ask for a point for low blows and would get it. That is why Miranda couldn't finish. If he went to the body to bring the hands down he got docked a point. One more time and he would have been DQ'd. He had to head hunt and AA just won rounds running and putting up his guard. Oh, the usually flurry at the end so the refs could justify giving him the round.
Even if you watched the fight, which I somehow doubt from your comments, you certainly didn't see it. True Rubio spent most of his time on defense, but Kelly also let him off the ropes when he could have kept him there and probably finished him. I will say Rubio is more durable than I expected. I'll give him that. But he was so beat up at the end of the 9th round, I told my son it was a good thing they ended up in his corner because he looked like he wouldn't have made it back otherwise.
i think the hate comes from casual fans. a true fan/practitioner/observer of the sport would see that b-hop is a living legend of a fighter. wether he looked less impressive against calz or awesome against tito. he really pulled a rabbit out of the hat on this one and taught everybody a lesson.
Yep. He has been in with top level guys before. He has beaten Taylor twice. He has the experience of being in the ring with Bhop on an off night. Yep. Seriously. What is the name of AA's next opponent? I've heard it ONLY since AA announced the fight. AA wants to fight the best? Yeah. Right. He wants one money fight to cash out on the belt Jermain Taylor dropped rather than face the crap mandatory that came with keeping it. AA doesn't mind them at all. His crap defenses have made him a good bit of money and made him look like the monster of the midway. But, I enjoy having you around. I need people with worse fight analytical skills than me.
well either pav definitely has heart. jt number one and miranda showed me that. from what i saw of the b-hop fight he looked mentally broke down. but hes a survivor. there are several things you could put into play with that... the fight was at 170 lbs his career high so far, i heard he got hurt training, and of course look who he fought. he wasnt getting any help from jack loew either. "jab, jab, jab" come on. i think pav needs someone like nazim richardson, bouie fisher, roach, or mayweather to teach him a thing or two.
