you two continually trump the fact that this fight might fall apart as if its a good thing....

 

No Stovepipe - you are not the only guy who sees the kind of shots Williams will take in this fight.

1. Nearly every past opponent, except for BHop, under estimated Pavlik's boxing skills. It is very probable that Williams and company will do the same. It is Pavlik's boxing skill that got him an 87% KO ratio. He does not have the same firepower as guys like Abraham or Miranda, but he does have a higher KO ratio against better opposition. His skills are responsnsible for his effective use of power.

2. Paul's style makes him a sitting duck for Pavlik's 3 best weapons. If you are going to compete with Kelly Pavlik, you MUST keep your hands up. If you do not, he is going to jab and hook you half to death, and finish you off with right hands.

3. Pavlik has taken massive shots from bigger, stronger men than Williams. PWilly's arm punches are not going to worry him. On the other hand, if PW wants to sit down on his punches more than normal, he'll have to lower his work rate, slow his head and body movement down, and pick his spots. That **** would turn into Kelly's kind of fight very quickly.

4. In spite of his height Williams is a small middleweight, and Paul is also very aggressive by nature. Pavlik eats small, aggressive middleweights like a little kid eatin' Skittles.

Was not trying to downgrade Paul at all, hopefully you did not take it that way walk, just pointing out his level of competition at MW was much to be desired. Again I guess that does not matter these days.
